One of the Most Off-Beat Gadgets I Learned About At CES 2022.
It’s the SAMSUNG ECO REMOTE
At CES last year Samsung introduced the Eco Remote with a solar panel that charges the remote with room lighting. A new model coming can also charge the remove via energy picked up wirelessly from devices like the TV or router! I have no idea how much energy your router or TV puts out, but it would be great to get some use of it. Will be available on certain new high end Samsung TV’s.
This remote will only be available with some high end Samsung TV’s.
It’s not clear if Samsung will offer this remote as an option for other Samsung TV’s.
Something from CES 2022 that’s strictly for the birds.
It’s for the birds and for people who love watching birds!
Okay, so it’s actually designed not only for birds, but for bird-lovers too. It’s a way for birds to eat, and a way for you to have a close-up look as they do it. It’s called Bird Buddy. You fill it w/bird seed at the back of the bird feeder. Then charge the WiFi enabled live streaming HD camera & place it in Bird Buddy. (The company says a full charge should lalst about 3 months. Also remember since it uses WiFi, it has be within range on your WiFi signal.) Then when birds visit you’ll get a notification on your smart phone. It can take photos of the birds that visit, and it can also analyzes its features and identify it. In the app there’s a way to keep a sort of scrap book of all the birds that visit. The app also indicates when the bird feeder is running low. It’s about $200, and should be available around May/June 2022.

Here Are My 5 Favorite Gadgets of 2021. (Some of them are Will Ganss’ Favorite & yours too!)
SLICE! It Cuts Cardboard & Soft Plastic Packaging, But It Didn’t Cut My Skin. (I tried it so you don’t have to!)I’m leary of metal boxcutters because they can be very dangerous. That’s why I wanted to buy and try the Slice Carton Cutter. I think this is pretty neat. It looks good, and it’s so much safer than using one of those fearful box cutters. You’ll see me try it on several packages in my video, but first here’s what the company says about it: Slice safety blade’s unique cutting edge might seem dull, but it cuts right through your material while keeping you safe! Other blades are dangerously sharp. Slice blades start at a safe and effective sharpness and stay there 11 times longer. With a metal sheath and a reinforced nylon handle, this durable tool stands up to industrial use. Ideal for cutting boxboard, cardboard, tape, clamshell and flexible plastics. Ships with a 10526 rounded-tip reversible utility blade. Each side lasts up to 11 times longer than a comparable steel edge. I was impressed at how well it works. Under $10.00

Don’t you hate it when you can’t get all the contents out of a lotion or condiment Bottle?
Then you should know about the Flip-It Bottle Emptying Kit. The company says: It Gets Every Drop Out of Lotions, Shampoos, Conditioners & Condiments. According to Consumer Reports, up to 25 percent of household products are wasted because people can’t get them out of the bottles. So if you’re tired of struggling to get thick liquids out of the bottle … or throwing away product you’ve paid for but can’t get to use, there’s a solution. The Flip-It it bottle emptying kit bottle cap offers zero waste. And it can help reduce the number of bottles going into landfills and reducing pollution caused by oozing discarded waste. Save money by getting every drop of product you paid for. Fits Most Standard Bottles. Each kit comes with four bottle thread adapters that fit the most common sized bottles! Reusable — Simply hand wash or top-rack dishwasher and use again and again. Food grade safe and BPA Free. This is working well for me. I use it on a bottle of body lotion and a bottle of honey.

Meet One Of My Newest Fans…
I bought the Figrol Neckfan fan during a really bad heat wave in June 2021 in NYC. Day after day of 90+ degree weather and high humidity. Air conditioning in my apartment and Gizneyland studio kept me comfortable inside, but I needed something for the outdoors. A quick check of Amazon and I found “neck fans”! The Giz Wiz covered mini fans you wore around your neck a couple of years ago, but these look way more sleek. They’re sometimes called ‘bladeless fans’ because you don’t see any moving part; everything is the built into the case. The Figrol has a 2400 mAh rechargeable battery and charges via USB-C. It has 3 speeds and does a fairly decent job of keeping you cool. It also has decent styling and almost looks like a headphones around your neck when your wearing it.
