The Giz Wiz #2099, Recorded Thursday July 2, 2026
Yes, we started the show with another What The Heck Is It?
As you see on this week’s show, I found LED lights that could be perfect if you want “fireworks” right in your own backyard.
The set of four gives you 120 LED Copper Wire Firework Lights. You can easily bent the wires shape, so they don’t have to look only like fireworks. They’re battery powered and require 4 x AA Batteries (Batteries NOT Included). My set came with 2 remote controls which offer 10 brightness and 8 different modes. You can set timer and the lights will be set for 6 hours on and 18 hours off per day. Amazon has this marked as a Frequently returned item. I assume that’s because of the battery life. That’s why I would recommend buying the new rechargeable battery version. It’s a bit more expensive, but you’ll probably save $ in the long run, assuming you use this a lot.

The four pack I showed in my video didn’t come up when I looked for it, but a six-pack with color LEDs did come up. I wish I had seen that first! But I still think people should buy the rechargeable battery versions due to complaints about battery life. Check the latest price (AA battery version) on Amazon: https://amzn.to/4wnZChq
Newer, slightly higher priced version with rechargeable batteries: https://amzn.to/4vJBiXe
This is a set of four at $39.99 as of 7/2/26.
There are dozens of other LED fireworks options on Amazon – just scroll down on this page: https://amzn.to/3QOr1dm

A Chad Extra
On this week’s show Chad reviews two brand new devices from Anker’s Soundcore.
They are both brand new top of line earbuds. The Soundcore Anker Liberty 5 Pro Max Wireless Earbuds, AI Note-Taker with digital case has MSRP of $229.00. Chad liked that usisng the almost 2” LED screen right on the earbud case, you could do many chores without having to have your phone in your hands.
The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro, Active Noise Canceling Wireless Earbuds is similar, but with a smaller LED screen that does not have all the features of the Pro Max. It has a MSRP of $169.99. I haven’t tried either of these new earbuds, but Chad has a lot to talk about after using them for a few weeks. His reviews with some demos are on this week’s show.

The Giz Wiz Goes To Five Below & Spends Five Above!
The description at Five Below online says:
“Watch Stitch dance on water while blasting your favorite tunes. Party splash!”
But, as you’ll see on this week’s show, Stitch just sits there as water pours over him. He’s a non-moving ceramic-like figure. But the LED lights do change color as the water bounces up and down. I paid $10 at a Five Below store, but on the company website it was selling for $20!

What? It was $10 at the store. Seems to be $20 online! https://www.fivebelow.com/products/disney-stitch-dancing-water-speaker-9234782?variant=9234783&sr=1

Here’s an email from Norris Hall with the subject line: Handy Eyewear Gadget?
Hey Guys!
I don’t know if this gadget has been around and is in use by a lot of people, but I had never seen it. I think it’s pretty handy for us glasses wearers. It helps with an annoying problem.

Letter of the week:
From Jim Nichols —
Subject – Miniature tools
Here’s me in the early 70s with some of those miniature tools. The workbench was made by my grandpa. I don’t recall what the robot toy on the floor did.
