That’s What The Microwave Sandwich Maker with Non-Stick Plates claims.

Surprise, yes you can. But it took a bit of experimenting, but we did it with decent results!

Amazon says: Enjoy crispy, golden sandwiches in just 3–5 minutes with this microwave toaster. Special heatwave design helps your food heat evenly from both sides, turning soft bread into a hot, crunchy delight.” And it adds: Not just for toast! This microwave grill and microwave sandwich maker can cook grilled cheese, panini, bagels, pizza slices, vegetables, sausages, and more. We used for grilled cheese sandwiches, which turned out quite well, but after quite a bit of experiments. You’ll see it all on this week’s show. The company says: Suitable for 600-1000W microwaves. Please adjust the cooking time accordingly for microwaves of different wattage, but the instruction sheet isn’t clear on those adjustments. We found a minute 45 seconds on each side, using a 900W microwave oven, worked very well for us. It was $21.99 on 10/8/26, but it’s sometimes priced lower.

Chad’s second Cheap is the Ikea Klockis.

This is a really small clock that does big things. Each side of the clock performs a different function as you turn it. Flip it for time/date, alarm, temperature or timer. It doesn’t take up a lot of space so it’s great for travel. But, as Chad pointed out, the alarm clock just rings, there is no snooze button. And the sound is on the low side. But even lower than that is the price. Just $6.99 at Ikea, as of 10/9/26
