Most New Notebook Computers & Chromebooks Are Light & Thin But Really Short On Inputs!

I have WiFi in my Gizneyland studio, but it doesn’t extend to my apartment next door. I ran a cable between the two apartments, which means I only have a hard-wired connection in my living space. So when I took my Acer Chromebook there, I remembered it’s setup for WiFi only. That’s where the OWC USB-C Travel Dockcame in handy. By plugging it into my Chromebook I would be adding an Ethernet port and more. The Dock E has a 100 watt power pass through, so you plug it into your USB-C powered notebook or Chromebook and then you’ll added six ports, one of which is the USB-C power pass through. You don’t even need to remember to bring a cable because one is built into the bottom of the unit. The six ports are: (2) USB 3 Type-A, 4K HDMI 2.0, SD card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, and 100 watt USB-C power pass through. So via its integrated USB-C connecting cable, this mini Travel Dock E lets you transforms one USB-C input into a decent mobile office with the ability to connect, charge, display, and import with USB-C equipped computers, tablets, and phones. MSRP: $64.99. If you don’t need the Ethernet port, the V2 model w/o that port sells for $10 less on Amazon and most other retailers.

A really compact tablet holder at a very decent price.

It’s the Amazon Basics Folding Tablet Holder. Perfect for work, home or travel, place your tablet vertically to read books, view recipes or surf the web. Turn it horizontally to watch movies. This adjustable stand has 2 vertical pivot points so you can position your tablet at virtually any angle for comfortable work, reading or viewing. I use mine with a Amazon Fire, but Amazon says it works with any size tablet device, including but not limited to: iPads, Samsung Galaxy Tabs, Kindle Fire and Kindle e-readers, and the Nexus 7.This adjustable stand has 2 vertical pivot points so you can position your tablet at virtually any angle for comfortable work, reading or viewing. It got very decent reviews on Amazon and I paid just $9.99 for mine. It was even less when I checked the price on 9/20/21.

Easy Ways To Protect & Show Your CDC Vaccination Record Card.

I recently was invited to a press event where in order to enter you must show your original CDC Vaccination Card, or a digital image from an officially approved app. (So no photo-copy you did at the office.) If you’re not tech savvy you will probably opt to carry your original CDC vaccination card. So here are ways to protect it. (Remember laminating your CDC card is probably not a good idea because it will have to be updated if you get a booster shot.)   Here are some options from Amazon, but whatever you decide to buy it should be 4″ X 3″ to accept the dimensions of the CVC card:

They can hang from a lanyard.

CDC Vaccination Card Protector 4 X 3 Inches, Double Side Clear PP Plastic Sleeve. Accessible for Barcodes & QR Codes to be Read with Scanner Reader Through The Visible Clear Protector Window. Display Vaccination Card at Airlines for Quick Entry. Great for Teachers, Students, Nurses, Office Employees, Doctors, Government Official, Police, Volunteer and More. Comes with Lanyards. Weighs less than 1 ounce! Easy to carry, hard to lose, completely travel friendly. I bought the 2-pack which was $5.99 on Amazon.

I like the magnetic badge holders. 1 magnet is pre-attached to the badge holder; 2nd magnet is removable (to be placed behind clothing); magnets won’t damage clothing when attached/removed. Compatible with any 3×4-inch badge (like the CDC Vaccine Record). As of 9/20/21 12 of them was $11.99, so a $1.00 each.
