That was until I saw and read about the Wyze Band. This is so much more than your typical watch/activity tracker. It lets you control your smart home from your wrist. Turn on or tune Wyze Bulb. Pause Wyze Cam notifications. Control your Wyze Plug. It will also work with future Wyze devices, and with Alexa built-in, Wyze Band can control many non-Wyze smart home products. Configure rules in the Alexa app and you can have Wyze Band controlling your smart TV, running your nighttime routine, and even fetching your favorite playlist. That’s some next-level stuff right there. Even through the screen is on the small size I could read it because it’s a high-resolution, AMOLED touch screen. You can use the Wyze Band to find your phone or receive call/app notifications. It’s 5ATM rated, meaning you can submerge it up to 50 metres for 10 minutes. So, unless you’ve recently taken up deep-sea diving, you won’t have problems taking this into the water with you. And wait, there’s more!! It has a 10-day battery life. And even more! It’s $24.95, $29.95 with shipping! That’s why I couldn’t resist getting one, just have it! I have more comments as I talk about it on this week’s show.

3 Ways To Stop Hackers From Looking Through Your Webcam.
Camfecting is when a hacker takes control of your webcam with your knowledge or your permission. A webcam privacy cover can help stop that. Amazingly I read that hackers can not only get into your computer and turn on your webcam, but more advanced hackers can turn on your webcam without the “on” light illuminating! Here are two ways to prevent hacker from looking through your camera, even if they turn it on. For notebook, laptop, tablet, etc, where the camera is built into the lid, there’s the webcam cover slide. It’s thin, and didn’t affect the lid from closing all the way on my Acer Chromebook. The Webcam Cover can be opened or closed with just one simple finger movement. The company6 says it can be easily applied and removed from the device without any traces. I bought a pack of 6 Webcam Cover Sliders for $8.99 as of 10/8/20
If you have an stand alone webcam there’s a pretty good chance it’s from Logitech. They sell
an amazing amount of webcams. Some of their newest models have a built-in covers. If not, you can buy easy add-on covers to help protecting your digital life and you’re actual life by preventing hackers from watching you! Webcam covers provide privacy, security and peace of mind. The one I bought is model specific. The company says it’s compatible with the Logitech C920, C922, C922x and C930e. It does not damage your device in any way. Actually it just sits on top of my Logitech C920 and I can cover and uncover my webcam at any time by flipping it open or closed it. Now the description says: “Does not interfere with webcam use or indicator light.” That’s true when it’s open. When it’s closed you will not see if the indicator light is on or off. I paid $12.99 for mine and it works fine. Check around on Amazon because there are cheaper versions for various webcams.

A way to use your LED light-ring without a reflection on your eyeglasses! eternal battery charger, plug it directly into a computer USB, or use one of USB/AC adapters, which is not supplied in the kit. (But most gadget lovers will have at least one of those.) The kit is very compact and packs up so you could carry it in a backpack. One thing to be aware of is that will you have a small lighted circle reflection in each eye if you are wearing glasses as you record. But these days so many people on news programs or interview shows have those reflections, they are not very distracting. On the Giz Wiz Chad said he thought you might look more professional if you are wearing glasses on camera and someone can see those reflections from a ‘professional’ light source. The Aduro Ustream kit is about $40.

Travel Expert Johnny Jet Has One, I Now Have One Too.
My reading just before I posted this photo.On his website, Johnny Jet talked about adding a finger pulse oximeter to your travel health kit. An oximeter can be used to monitor changes in your respiratory condition as it registers your pulse rate. And it lights up and it fits on your finger, so I figured I must have one! I bought the AccuMed one Johnny recommend on Amazon. The company says it fits all finger sizes from kids above four years old to adults as it measures the level of oxygen in the blood and reads the pulse rate in just eight to ten seconds. It is crucial to use the device in a stationary position and not while in motion for precise readings. Equipped with two AAA batteries (included), the oximeter automatically powers off when not in use and delivers up to 20 continuous hours of battery life. Comes with a travel case and lanyard. — And from the Giz Wiz. I love this device! This is way easier and much smaller than another device I was using to take my pulse! And this one also tells you your oxygen saturation level. I’m not sure why you need to know that, but online I read it should be between 95 and 100. Mine runs about 95-97, so I’m good. I like to sit quite sometimes and see how low I can get my pulse rate. Usually down to the low 50’s. I paid around $32 for mine. Click on the Amazon link for the latest price. I Never Owned A Car, But Recently I Did ‘Drive’ A Robot!
