Below are the gadgets we’ve talked about on the show.
The Last Time Leo & I Talked About Flybar Was 2007 – 14 years ago!
We talked about their ‘high-tech’ Pogo Stick way back then! Flybar still makes a lot of pogo sticks, but at the Holiday of Play toy event I saw their latest. It’s certainly something different for kids. But I wonder – do kids know what bumper cars are? Even if they don’t, I think they’ll find this a heck of a lot of fun. Here’s info from the company: The Flybar Bumper Car for Kids delivers screen-free entertainment for kids ages 1.5 – 4 years. Able to support up to 66 pounds, this baby bumper car lets kids zip around the house while they race, chase, spin and bump. Little ones can steer the kid car from the driver’s seat with the easy-to-use joysticks. The Flybar kids bumper car is powered by an integrated 6V battery and it comes with a 120V wall charger. The battery recharges overnight and replacement batteries are available, so you’ll be sure to get plenty of enjoyment as your little one grows. Built with fun and safety in mind, this kid car performs 360 degree turns, includes exciting flashing LED Lights, and reaches a maximum speed of 1 MPH. Flybar bumper cars are made with a soft rubber bumper that protects walls and furniture, and cushions impact during bumping games. An adjustable safety belt keeps little ones in place, and the durable plastic shell with anti-flat wheels is strong enough to withstand high energy playtime. The Flybar Bumper Car for Kids comes fully assembled. It’s available in pink and in blue. MRSP: $99.95.

A Really Unique 2-Way Outdoor Lantern.
It Cuts Cardboard & Soft Plastic Packaging, But It Didn’t Cut My Skin. (I tried it, so you don’t have to!)
I’m leery of metal box cutters because they can be very dangerous. That’s why I wanted to buy and try the Slice Carton Cutter. I think this is pretty neat. It looks good, and it’s so much safer than using one of those fearful box cutters. You’ll see me try it on several packages in my video, but first here’s what the company says about it: Slice safety blade’s unique cutting edge might seem dull, but it cuts right through your material while keeping you safe! Other blades are dangerously sharp. Slice blades start at a safe and effective sharpness and stay there 11 times longer. With a metal sheath and a reinforced nylon handle, this durable tool stands up to industrial use. Ideal for cutting boxboard, cardboard, tape, clamshell and flexible plastics. Ships with a 10526 rounded-tip reversible utility blade. Each side lasts up to 11 times longer than a comparable steel edge. Pointed-tip 10528 utility blade available separately. Watch this week’s show to see how well this works. I was impressed. And it’s under $10. UPDATE: I liked the one I bought so much, I bought the 12 pack which reduces the price to a bit under $8 each. They make great gifts.
