The BonBowl Lets You Cook And Eat Out Of The Same Bowl
Meet the BonBowl. The BonBowl is perfect if you’re cooking for one, or need a way to cook in a small space like on a boat or a dorm room, or I guess even in a motel room. The BonBowl has two parts, the induction cooktop base and a specially designed bowl that fits on top of it. What’s clever is that you cook and eat out of the bowl. That cuts down on the cooking space and clean up time. Because it uses induction, which is sort of cooking with magnets, the cooking surface doesn’t get hot and the heat is trapped inside the bowl, reducing the chance of burns or fires while cooking. The cooktop is small 8″ x 8″ x 2.5″ and the bowl is said to be dishwasher safe. The company says induction cooking heats twice as fast as gas and electric stoves of similar size. Because the bowl and stove are small, the unit draws only 500 watts. Most induction cookers I see listed on Amazon all draw 1800 watts, so this one is better for small kitchens, campers, boats, motels, dorms, etc. The MSRP is $149.00, so you are paying a premium for the compact size as you’ll learn if you shop for other units online. The BonBowl includes the Cooktop + Bowl + one lid. It also includes free shipping within the US.

Remember Keurig’s Kold Soda Maker? It Didn’t Succeed. I Wonder If This One Will!
Cold Snap was a 2021 Innovation Honoree in the Kitchen Gadgets catergory. It looks and functions like a larger version of a K cup machine except it dispenses a frozen treat in about 90 seconds. Additionally, plans for the future will include pods for smoothies, frozen coffees, protein shakes, non-dairy ice cream and even frozen cocktails. The pods have QR codes on top which tells the machine how to prepare the contents. It’s said to launch in select locations in the second quarter of 2021 and ship direct to consumers early next year. The price however requires the use of an optional chair to sit in when you hear the price: $1,000. If sales are robust the company said it hopes to eventually bring it down about half that price, but that’s still $500, plus the price of the pods, which are estimated to be somewhere in the $2.50 to $3.00 range. The pod containers are aluminum like a soda can so they can be recycled. Chad thought the price was way up there, and OMG, it is. And the machine is said to weigh 50 pounds! Also Chad didn’t like the fact that it made ice cream so fast! You see how fast in the video. We finally decided this might be good for a restaurant or an office, but $1,000.00?
This is not an ordinary bathtub. This is a complete Kohler Spa Experience In Your Home.
AT the Virtual CES 2021 Jonathon Bradly, Kohler Smart Home Innovation Lead, introduced the Kohler Stillness Bath. This is something to behold assuming you have a really big bathroom! Kohler, one of the best known high tech kitchen and bathroom equipment retailers has been around since 1873. Their new Stillness Bath draws its inspiration from Japanese forest bathing. It starts with water filling from the bottom of the bath, overflowing into the wood moat to create a soothing sound. Full spectrum lighting surrounds the bath as mist envelopes the surface of the Stillness Bath. Finally, essential oils can be added to emits invigorating aromas. Your bathroom is transformed into a spa-like environment for quiet mindfulness, except maybe for you using voice commands via Alexa or Google Assistant. The Stillness Bath offers a sanctuary for self-care and well-being. And hopefully the water display, light, mist and aromas converge to help you forget it costs about $16,000 and probably some major bathroom alterations. But wait, there’s LESS! If you just to control the temperature and depth of the water, that’s about $8700.00 If you want to add fog and aromatherapy, you’ll need to add the “Experience Tower” and that’s brings it up to around $11,000. The full Stillness experience is about $12,000 and that will be available around November 2021.

Two New Techie Covid Face Masks
LG won an Innovation Award for their PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier. It’s one of newest parts of their PuriCare lineup with products for the home and commercial spaces. This device features two H13 HEPA filters to prevent up to 99.95 percent of harmful airborne matter. It has DUAL Fans and a patented Respiratory Sensor which allows users to effortlessly breathe pure, filtered air in almost any environment. The sensor detects the cycle and volume of the wearer’s breathing and automatically adjusts the three-speed DUAL Fans accordingly, speeding up when inhaling and slowing down to reduce resistance when exhaling. Extensive ergonomic facial analysis was used to ensure it can fit snugly on most adult faces. The built-in rechargeable 820mAh battery delivers up to eight hours of operation at low speed and two hours on the highest setting. Key components such as filters, inner cover, face guard, ear straps and strap extenders are easy to remove or replace. But wait, there’s more! The PuriCare Air Purifier Case features LG’s UVnano sanitization technology to eliminate 99.99 percent of harmful germs in just 30 minutes using UV-C LED lights. The case can also remove moisture from internal components caused by the wearer’s breath, charge the device from empty to full in just two hours and even send a notification to a smartphone via the LG ThinQ app when filters need replacing. It’s starting to appear in key regions including Asia and the Middle East and is expected to be available in the US toward the end of the year. But searching the web, I found it at the link below.
