A Really Unique 2-Way Outdoor Lantern.
At an outdoor party at the marina, I brought along the Faux Fire/Bright White Light Lantern I talked about on the Giz Wiz Show almost 2 years ago. I knew the party would go into the evening hours and it would be dark on the dock. People loved the lantern and wanted to know where to buy one. I couldn’t find the exact model I had, but I found the Lichamp 4 Pack LED Camping Lantern. It’s a battery powered dual function, energy-efficient LED light for 360 degree illumination. The company says it’s made of military-grade and water-resistant plastic. Foldaway handles make it easy to carry and they fold to store when not in use. Pull up the handles to open and turn it on or control the brightness, no switches required. Each time you open and close the lantern the light changes from white to flame back to white, etc. An ideal gift, great for camping, emergencies, backyard, etc. It’s a small number of ratings but it got 4.5 out of 5 stars from 21 reviews. And they’re inexpensive.

Here’s the 3-in-1 Lantern I reviewed almost 2 years ago. It adds a bright white flashlight at the bottom. I liked it lot, but it’s a lot more. About $19.00 for one lantern. It got awful reviews on this page, most of them complaining the lantern doesn’t fit the description. It Cuts Cardboard & Soft Plastic Packaging, But It Didn’t Cut My Skin. (I tried it, so you don’t have to!)
I’m leery of metal box cutters because they can be very dangerous. That’s why I wanted to buy and try the Slice Carton Cutter. I think this is pretty neat. It looks good, and it’s so much safer than using one of those fearful box cutters. Can this Chefman InstaCoffee really brew coffee from a K-Cup in 30 seconds?
It’s the Chefman InstaCoffee Single Serve Coffee Maker. Brews in 30 Seconds. Compatible with K-Cup Pods, Grounds & Loose-Leaf Tea w/Reusable Filter. While their copy says “Make fresh coffee in 30 seconds, I put a stopwatch to test it out. Well, in 30 seconds this coffee maker does start the brewing process, which is fast – but it takes 2 minutes, 15 seconds to brew a full Kcup. In additon to K-Cups® you can use your own freshly ground roast using the included filter. I like the compact design which takes up little counter space. It’s also designed to fit most 14 oz. travel mugs. I don’t know how this work, but the company says the InstaCoffee is equipped with a self-cleaning mode, making it easy to prevent and remove mineral build-up. The rubber drip tray is removable for easy cleaning between uses. All is all I like this device which sells for under $43.00. (As of 9/4/21)
