Lenovo Introduces Two New Laptops For Creative Types!
At a Lenovo event I went to this past week I got to see, but not actually use these two brand new Yoga Slim 7x (14″ Snapdragon) notebook computers. Here are some details from Lenovo: There’s the Snapdragon® X Elite inside for next-gen AI experiences. 3K PureSight OLED display with 1000 nits peak brightness. (The screen color and resolution was amazing.) Complimentary 2-month membership for Adobe Creative Cloud. (Details on their website.) They feature two very important things I look for in a laptop, a backlit keyboard and a touch screen. I was also amazed at the starting price: $1199.00. Two Great Ways To Add LED Lighting To Closets, Under-counter Areas, Etc.
Motion Sensor LED Light System w/ a base to charge 3 of them at once.
The company is Anmeery. (Yes, weird Amazon spelling.) What’s different about these LED lights is that you don’t have to make the decision of buying ‘warm white’ or ‘cool white’. When you install them, click it on to either kind of light you want to go on when it detects motion. These are not a bright as some others I have used, but they should be perfect as indoor,closet lights, under cupboard lights and for other small spaces. Once activated by motion, they stay on for 24 seconds unless they detect additional motion They’re USB-C rechargeable and comes with a 3 light charging station which is powered by the included USB-C cable. Something else included in the kit, which I think is useful are five magnetic strips with a sticky backing. The lights themselves already have a magnetic backing so this makes it easy to install & remove them quickly for charging. Set of 5 lights, charging station and 2 cables is $39.99 as of 5/23/24. UPDATE! When we recorded the show Thursday 5/23 & when this was written 5/24 there was a 50% of coupon for these lights. At least 3 people watching the show immediately bought them. I don’t know how long that coupon will be there. Things change quickly on Amazon!

It’s not a smart light bulb, but it can do some pretty neat things!
It’s A New Kind Of LED Bulb! Meet the Feit Electric 6-Way LED Light Bulb.
When I saw this LED light bulb on Amazon, I thought “how the heck did they do that?” What they did was let you choose easily between 5 LED bulb colors: Warm, Neutral, Cool, Daylight and Daylight Deluxe. (I guess ‘off’ is the 6th option.) You choose one of those light color temperatures with a flip of a switch that built right into the side of the LED bulb! The company says it’s compatible with most dimmers and you can adjust the light brightness from 10% to 100%. The 9W LED bulb is a replacement for 60W incandescent bulbs, saving up to 85% on your energy bill. BUT BE AWARE: this is NOT A SMART LIGHT BULB, you make all the adjustments locally, right on the bulb, or with the light switch. Many of the negative reviews mention they couldn’t pair it with an app. That’s because it’s listed right on Amazon as ‘not a smart light bulb’. For what they can do, I thought they were inexpensive: 2 bulbs for under $8.00 as of 4/27/24
