Soundcore Introduces Their Smallest Earbuds yet!
The Soundcore Space A40 Earbuds are pretty amazing. Not only are they the smallest earbuds Soundcore has ever made, but I bet they’re also the lightest. On my postal scale the case and earbuds weighed 2.0 oz. The earbuds alone weighted .04 oz. There’s up to 10 hrs of power in the A40 earbuds when fulled charged, plus 40 hours of charge time in the case. With fast charge, a 10 minute charge provides enough power to last up to 4 hrs. As tiny as they are, there are 6 microphones & AI for phone call clarity and Automatic Noise Reduction. The case itself can be wirelessly charged or charged via USB-C. Noise canceling and noise-blocking fit can reduce outside noise up to 98%. If you’re outside, you can use ‘Transparency Mode’ available in the app. HearID Sound creates a personalized sound profile that’s tailored precisely to your ears. Take the test in the app while wearing your A40 earbuds. The earbuds come with silicone earbuds on them, probably the medium size. They happen to fit me ears perfectly. The package has 4 more pairs in various sizes from x-small to x-large. Supports Bluetooth 5.2, AAC, LDAC, and SBC codecs. Available in black, navy blue & white. $99.99.

A Chad Extra!
Hoping to do a “One Handed Gadgets” spot one day, Chad bought the OXO Good Grips Button Aid. If you have trouble with buttons as we all do from time to time, this device is said to minimize the challenge and frustration of buttoning clothes. You’ll see Chad do a demo. You grasp the button with wire loop instead of your fingers to pull the button through button-hole. The company says this dressing aid encourages independence in the elderly, individuals living alone or anyone needing help with buttoning. The soft, ergonomic, non-slip handle requires less hand strength and minimizes stress on fingers and hand compared to standard button helper tools. BPA and Latex free. Button Hook is 7-in. Long and the Stainless Steel wire hook is 2-1/2-in long. Weighs approximately 2-ounces. Chad paid $9.99.

Another Back To School Gadget or Great For Anyone Who Uses a Padlock!
While browsing Amazon for gadgets I found the Master Lock Magnification Combination Lock. Some info from the company: The Master Lock Magnification Combination Lock eliminates the hassle of wearing glasses at the gym or pool and the frustration of entering your combination multiple times due to miss dialing. The unique lens design offers high contrast numbers, 360° of magnification, and obscured visibility to onlookers. With the traditional rotary dial functionality, an easy to grip soft-touch dial ring and tactile dial feedback at each number, precise dialing is assured.
From the Giz Wiz: I do like the big black numbers on a white background and the magnification lens. And as you turn the dial every number has a click. But you should be aware you can’t set your combination, you have to use the one assigned to the lock. (They are said to be about 6500 combinations available. It comes in colors, but you have to accept the one they ship. But it was only $8.18 on 9/1/22.

Chad’s 2nd ‘Crappy Corner’ Gadget for his September Theme.
Chad’s first left over gadget is 400 In 1 Portable Retro Handheld Game Console with 3″ LCD Screen. It does support using a TV, providing it’s an old one that accepts that yellow RCA jack!
First some info from the web: Compact and lightweight handheld game console. Pocket-sized body make it more convenient to carry it out, it is perfect for playing on the go. Compared with other handheld retro game consoles with 600mAh or 700mAh, our mini retro handheld game player built-in 1020mAh large capacity rechargeable lithium battery. Come with a USB cable plug & play, the game can play for up to 8 hours each time it is fully charged. Package Includes: 1x Charging cable 1x AV cable 1x Instruction 1x Controller (Optional) 1x Handheld Game player. $12.76. (It’s about a $1 less without the extra controller.)
And Chad’s take: At first Chad was disappointed that the remote controller didn’t work, but someone in the chatroom solved the problem. Chad was impressed that it has 400 games, many of them popular games of the past like Super Mario, Pinball, Donkey Kong — and as Chad put it “can you say ‘copyright infringment!’. Big drawback, no headphone jack, so playing it on an airplane or anywhere in public will have be done with sound off. See it on action on this week’s show and hear the rest of Chad’s comments. Under $14.00 on Alibaba Express!

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse & How To Submit Your Video To Win An Autographed Copy of MAD Magazine.
Hi Chad and Dick:
Love your show and thanks so much for keeping those episodes coming. Here is a video I made for you. I bought this after trying a more conventional Foot Bath, with heat control, massage, vibration and bubbles, and collapsable. I ended up returning it after finding it uncomfortable and not relaxing. The bubbles and vibration were not helpful, just noisy. The rolling massage balls didn’t feel very good, even when they were off. The heat worked fine, and it collapsed nicely, and had a handle. It just wasn’t helpful enough for all that fuss and expense. So I looked for something simpler. When I found this, I thought of you guys. Here is the link to the video. This is my second Giz Wiz Video.
Cheers, Lori A Los Angeles CA

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse & How To Submit Your Video To Win An Autographed Copy of MAD Magazine.
We’d love to include your video in an upcoming Giz Wiz Show! Here’s what we’re looking for! Your home shot video – 2 to 3 minutes long, in any of the following categories:
I bought a piece of crap: Did you buy something you ended up hating? We won’t get you a refund, but we might be able to give a platform to vent your disappointment. Remember, “family friendly” language applies.
–
I invented this! Did you invent something? (Or did a friend or relative invent something.) We can’t market it for you, but we can help get the word out. Show us what it is, and how it works. Even if it’s a prototype, you can get our (and the audience) reactions. No professional ads please.
–
My Gadget Warehouse: Okay, so you don’t have a warehouse. It doesn’t matter. Just tell us about your favorite old gadget(s). When and where you bought it, and why you’re still hanging on to it.
–
My Favorite Gadget (favorite old, or favorite new): Show us what it is, tell us what it does and why you love, or loved it! It can be a new gadget you just bought too.
–
Post them on YouTube and send us the link! We’ll do the rest. (Or possibly nothing, but that’s unlikely.) Remember, videos should be just 2 to 3 minutes long! Low production value is fine, but we should be able to hear you and see you! If we select and show your video on The Giz Wiz you’ll earn a tiny amount of fame (hopefully). And if you live in the US, you’ll also get an autographed 38+ year old Alfred E. Neuman picture and a MAD surprise (most likely the current issue of MAD.) But no matter where you live outside of US, I can autograph an Alfred E. Neuman photo to you, scan it & email you a high res copy if we show your video. Just print it out, frame it, or just hang it up and no one will know it’s a copy. We’ve tested it out and fans say they look terrific! If you submitting warehouse videos for a second, third time, etc., you’ll get the current issue of MAD as a thank you.
All show submissions go to mail@gizwiz.tv
