Keep Track Of Did Someone Feed The Dog / Cat.
Lots of people adopted pets during the Pandemic to have company and to rescue unwanted dogs and cats. During the past year, it seems almost everyone stayed home. But now that people are starting to move about, the question comes up more often: “Do you feed the dog? Cat? On this week’s show I have two different devices simple ways to keep track of when the pet was fed with simple green color coding. No batteries needed. Great way to teach children about the responsibility of pet ownership. Also helps prevent over feeding. There’s a“Did You Feed The Dog” and a “Did You Feed The Cat” version.
The second version is multi-functional and has adhesive labels for feed the cat /dog /kid, even as a reminder for people who take medications morning, noon and night! I paid almost $12 for mine, but it looks like there are cheaper versions that look exactly the same on Amazon. I’ll try to find the cheaper link and post it below. Have Trouble Getting Pet Hair From The Furniture?
Then meet a gadget called Chom Chom. What is it? According to company it’s the World’s Best Pet Hair Remover. By simply moving the pet hair roller back and forth, you immediately track and pick up cat hairs and dog hairs embedded deeply in sofas, couches, beds, carpets, blankets, comforters and more. You have probably tried all types of pet hair and lint removal products… from sticky roller tapes, to products that cannot be used over and over again. But we have a second opinion. I don’t have cats and my dog Charlie really doesn’t shed, but Chad Johnson the co-host of the Giz Wiz show has two big cats who do shed. And he found this device works amazinly well. That was Chad’s video on World News Now and that was him cleaning up all cat hair in a very short time. Now it‘s plastic, and it’s $24.95, but Chad thinks it’s really worth it.

Turn A Water Bottle Into A Doggie Shower!
Yes, it’s the Portable Water Bottle Shower. Great for hot weather, it lets you turn almost any plastic soda bottle into convenient outdoor dog shower. Fill up to a 2 liter soda bottle with water and snap Kurgo’s MUD DOG onto bottle neck. Now when you’re down in the park and it’s hot, just tip or squeeze the bottle to cool off your dog, or even yourself. And when it raining or wet outside, you can use this to rinse off your dog’s muddy paws, your shoes, etc. before you enter the house. This can also be used as a shower when camping or hiking, or even a portable beach shower. Great if you need to rinse off after being in salt water.

There’s also a mini version of the Portable Water Bottle Shower. That one is small enough to clip on a dog leash or key chain using the built-in mini-chain and clasp! It’s said to work on smaller water bottles and it’s great for tiny dogs. Even though it’s very small it does produce a nice spray as you probably saw on my World News Now spot.

This Cat Toy Didn’t Make The Show, But It’s Great Feline Fun.

My co-host, Chad Johnson, of the Giz Wiz Show found this toy for his cats. Chad said you have to pay attention to the instructions as to have to place it on a door for maximum cat fun. And although Chad’s cat wasn’t too interested at first, but Chad quickly got his cat Waffles interested in playing with it. Be aware that Chad says you should be in the room with the cat as they play. He also says it doesn’t seem to have auto-shutoff, so you have to make sure it’s off when you and your cat are done playing.

This cable is short, about 2”. The whole device ready to charge is about 5”. But it’s versatile. You get USB to USB-C, USB to combo Lightning/Micro USB, USB-C to USB-C & USB-C to dual Lightning/Micro USB. The device is very lightweight and easy to use once you master the ‘hidden’ connectors. With built-in magnets the heads snap together to hang on your keyring, backpack, etc. The company says you can sync and charge simultaneously. And this I haven’t seen before. This cable supports power transfer from one USB-C smartphone to another which doesn’t have to be USB-C, as you’ll see in my video. It can also charge from one USB-C smartphone to another type of portable device. So you can give a charge to a phone running out of juice, or charge earbuds, etc. It was under $20 on Amazon on 3/21/21, but that price can change at any time.

In order to find more interesting, useful gadgets in Amazon, I typed “Best selling gadgets under $25”. Of the list that came up I picked the Taiker Personal Alarm for Women. It’s a 140DB Emergency Self-Defense Security Alarm Key chain with LED Light for Women Kids and Elders. According to that description us men are on our own. The company says ‘with a loud 140DB sound, this self-defense key chain alarm can make a sound loud enough to draw the attention of others at a far distance, which can effectively scare attackers in danger and seek people around for help. Also has an LED light. The portable size can be attached on key chain, backpack, etc. The alarm is activated when you pulled the contact pin out, and siren will sound continuously for 30 minutes unless unless pin is reinserted to device.’ WARNING! THESE ARE LOUD SO YOU HAVE TO PROTECT YOUR OWN EARS WHEN USING THE ALARM. Most likely just wearing your own ear buds or headphones will help some. Batteries are said to last 90 minutes which is long for that much sound. It comes with 3 LR44 batteries and they are replaceable. The price is unbelievable! 7 units in various colors for $20.99, which comes to $3 each. This price can change at any time on Amazon. They got decent reviews on Amazon too, check them out.
An Idea from The Giz Wiz. Soyou don’t lose the pin needed to silence the alarm, I put the end of the pull cord onto the key-ring. It makes it a touch harder to pull the pin, but it won’t get seperated from the alarm.

It’s a different kind of keychain for belt, backpack, etc.
When keys started falling out my old keychain I decided to buy a new one. I figured I’d search for a different kind of keychain that might be interesting. On Amazon I found the 121 Fruit Way which uses a push button to open the clasp. It’s supposed to make it much easier to detach or clip on your belt loop, but if you don’t think it does that, it still works the old fashioned way by pushing it up against your belt loop. These are very nicely made and you can’t beat the price. They were 2 for $10 as of 3/22/21, but that price on Amazon can change at any time.
