The Most Versatile Robot I’ve Ever Seen At CES!

It’s called the Samsung Bot Handy. Yes, there are always a lot of robots at CES, but this one from Samsung, still in the experimental stage, is designed to be real handy around the house. With the ability to “pick up objects of varying sizes, shapes and weights,” the one-armed Bot Handy can help with household chores, like sorting the dishes and tidying up messy rooms. Employing advanced artificial intelligence technology, it’s even smart enough to differentiate the material of various objects, so it knows how much force to use when picking something up. No release date, or price are available. It’s still very much in the design stage, but it’s fascinating how ‘handy’ a robot for the home might be in the future. May be available in the future.

This is not an ordinary bathtub. This is a complete Kohler Spa Experience In Your Home.

AT the Virtual CES 2021 Jonathon Bradly, Kohler Smart Home Innovation Lead, introduced the Kohler Stillness Bath. This is something to behold assuming you have a really big bathroom! Kohler, one of the best known high tech kitchen and bathroom equipment retailers has been around since 1873. Their new Stillness Bath draws its inspiration from Japanese forest bathing. It starts with water filling from the bottom of the bath, overflowing into the wood moat to create a soothing sound. Full spectrum lighting surrounds the bath as mist envelopes the surface of the Stillness Bath. Finally, essential oils can be added to emits invigorating aromas. Your bathroom is transformed into a spa-like environment for quiet mindfulness, except maybe for you using voice commands via Alexa or Google Assistant. The Stillness Bath offers a sanctuary for self-care and well-being. And hopefully the water display, light, mist and aromas converge to help you forget it costs about $16,000 and probably some major bathroom alterations. But wait, there’s LESS! If you just to control the temperature and depth of the water, that’s about $8700.00 If you want to add fog and aromatherapy, you’ll need to add the “Experience Tower” and that’s brings it up to around $11,000. The full Stillness experience is about $12,000 and that will be available around November 2021.

Lots Of Foldable Gadgets At CES, But Now We’re Seeing Rollables

A CES Extra! You probably never saw anything like this before.

While there were foldable tablets & foldable computers at CES 2021, we saw some rollables. Rollables are device that can roll up, down, or even sideways. Here’s a quick video look at a LG Rollable that we might see later in 2021. The company calls the LG Rollable a “unique resizable screen” that transforms from a phone into a small tablet as the screen slides in and out to extend its surface area. There’s no date, and price available yet, so it’s possible we may not see this gadget in 2021.

Five Of My Favorite (And Yours Too) Gadgets of 2020 That I Showed On WNN.

People like flashlights! Especially inexpensive ones.  In the past week I bought a dozen mini-flashlights from 3 different places. They all look alike on the web, but are they all the same? After I bought all 3 of them see if they are all the same flashlight. Strangely, they look similar, but they’re all slightly different. One has a bigger LED task light, one doesn’t have a strobe (which I never use anyway) some arrive in a sturdy plastic case. Watch my video to see the variations. For the lowest price you have to buy 3, 4, or 6 of them, but I think anyone of them would make a great stocking stuffer, or mini-gift.

Just 1 of the 3 versions of the mini-flashlight were still available as of 12/28/20, but I just bought another six of them! They were about $23 for 6 – or approximately $3.80 each on 12/28/20. That price can change at any time.
