The company says their 1000mAh battery provides a 10-year lifespan and 24 hours of backup during outages. You can also remove the AC plug in the back and use it as a battery operated detector, provided you use the USB-C provided cable to keep the unit charged. You could even use it at travel destinations. It was under $45.00 as on 2/12/26 on Amazon.
