I didn’t know this about new ruling about power strips on ships, but now I do! First info on the one I bought on Amazon.
It’s the HanyCony Flat Plug Extension Cord, 5ft Power Strip with 4 USB Ports. Its 8 in 1 design can charge 8 devices at the same time. 4 AC outlets (15A/1875W Max) are separated so large plug won’t block each other. Two of the four charging ports are USB C ports. The USB C power strip can charge up to 5V/3A. USB-A ports can charge up to 5V/2.4A Max. The one feature I look for when I buy a power strip is missing, and that’s a surges protector. It’s missing for a reason I didn’t about till I read that most major cruise lines now require that power strips DO NOT have Surge Protection. It has something to do with the way ship power differs from power generated on land. So this cruise ship power strip is definitely a must-have accessory for an ocean voyage. It was under $20. The same company makes a version with surge protection. Links below.
