Great gift ideas, even after Christmas. (Dinos are still wildly popular!)
Kids still love Dinosaurs, so I found two different possibilities. My local Five Below Store still had this in stock two days before Christmas. As you’ll see on this week’s show, even if you miss it for Christmas, it’s a great fun toy for just $5.00. It’s the roaring and walking Robot T-Rex. And yes, he can roar and walk at the same time. He does require 3 AA batteries which are not included. And here’s a tip. The instructions have a really poor illustration with the instruction to install 3 AA batteries in his back. Well the batteries go in his stomach in the front. I was really impressed with how detailed this was for the money. Oh, I should mention the remote control is a wired remote, but again, $5!!
Amazon has the LeonMake Dinosaur Toy listed with a weird variety of ages: “for Kids 3-5: Take Apart Dinosaur Toy for 3 4 5 6 7 8 Year Old Boys Girl | STEM Construction Building Dinosaur with Electric Drill | Boys Toys Age 6-8 | Birthday Gifts. 3 Pack Dino Toys: The box contains 3 different mountable dinosaurs, such as the blue T Rex, the orange Velociraptor and the green Triceratops, with lifelike details that make them look very realistic. Your kids can assemble it with his brother or friends. From the Giz Wiz: I thought from the photo and “take apart Dinosaur Toy” you should well, take them a part. Well you can, but first you have to build them. To make it easy kids can use the toy electric screwdriver. It’s powered by 2 AAA batteries which are included. The screw heads are very big making it easier to screw in and remove, and the screwdriver is slow rotating for safety. But there are a couple of ‘manual screwdrivers in the box too. The dinos are different but some parts are the same so kids can put the head of a Tyrannosaurus Rex on the body of a Triceratops. I bought the $24 version, but it seems like the same toy is available (judging by the pictures & description) for a lot less on Amazon. The link leads to the page where you’ll find a lot of choices.
