Show #1941 Week of June 22nd 2023
AMAZING! We’ve in year 18 of The Giz Wiz Show!
The first Giz Wiz Show – called The Daily Giz Wiz back then – was February 20th 2006! If it wasn’t for our loyal supporters, the Giz Wiz Show would be gone. If you’d like to support OMGchad & DickDe in our independent venture (we have no ads) just click the Patreon link at the top of our show web page: www.gizwiz.tv.
What A Fun Toy For Tots, 1 & Up!
It’s the Wooden Busy Board with 8 LED Lights. This Montessori inspired toy is said to be for toddlers 1 to 3 Years old, but I like it too! There 8 color LED’s & 8 varied switches to turn them on and off. It’s to provide opportunities for children to use their senses to explore the light switches through sensory play. The battery box is under the black and yellow cover. An adult will need to open the cover with a screwdriver (included) to install the 2 AAA batteries, not included. This toy seems sturdy and well built. The busy board also comes with a cloth storage bag. MSRP: $19.99 (There was a $5 off coupon there on 6/25/23, but that could disappear at any time

What The Heck Was It?
Well, it was yet another toilet paper holder designed for those mega-rolls, or anything smaller. (You’ll see two other mega-roll gadgets we reviewed in the past on this week’s show.) The one on Amazon is branded XTREME DIGITAL LIFESTYLE. The description says it easily mounts to bathroom wall with tape or screws. Tape is included, but not screws. Also if you have a tiled wall I think getting screens in it to match the holes in the back of this device will be difficult. The LED’s gradually change 6 different colors, and there’s an easily accessible, built-in power button to turn them on and off. Requires 3 AAA batteries (not included) I got mine at Five Below for $5.25, but it was sold out online. The same gadget, under a different name, is on Amazon for $9.99

Another totally fun gadget!! The Mega 132 Hole Bubble Machine.
Amazon says this Calabash Brothers Bubble Machine gun has 132 bubble holes, which can blow out 9500+ colored bubbles per minute. The bubble gun is equipped with color lights, bringing colorful and dreamy bubbles, no matter day or night.
The Giz Wiz says: It has a single green LED cleverly placed so you see a light on top of the bubble maker and it lights the entire back of the bubble maker. As far as 9500+ colored bubbles mentioned, as you’ll see in the video, it could be that many! And they are colorful!! The rechargeable battery comes with a USB charger. Although the gun is big, it’s easy to hold and simple to use. Just pull the trigger and it blows out countless colorful bubbles. You do have to dip the bubble maker in the bubble soap pan each time you want to fire off a volley of bubbles. The pan is included, and there’s a pouring spout molded in which makes it easy to return unused bubble soap to the jar. The set I bought included 14 jars of Bubble water. I paid $29.99 for mine, but prices on Amazon can change at any time! You’ll see a ton of similar bubble guns on Amazon, but some cheaper ones look the same, but have 72 holes or less, not 132 holes, and some include 2 bottles of bubble soap, not 14 which is what I got.

Chad’s Crappy Corner
Chad polled our loyal Patreons and they voted on his new theme for June. That winning theme is Cheap Hobby & Craft Gadgets.
Chad’s 4th Cheap Hobby & Craft Gadget is the Discovery Gemstone Dig Kit. (Dig and Reveal 11 Precious Stones)
From the company: Explore the world of a geologist as you dig and reveal precious gemstones with the Discovery Gemstone Dig! Put on your scientist safety goggles, then dig to unearth 11 precious gemstones. As the stones are revealed, carefully chisel around them, brush away the debris and use the included magnifying glass to take a closer look at the patterns and colors within each gorgeous stone. Recommended for geologists, archaeologists, and gemologists 12 years and up.
And Chad’s take: It was fun for a while, but Chad wasn’t finding any gems. Then he found them, pretty much all of them in one spot! He was very disappointed that you do all that chipping and searching to find nothing, and then most or all of them in one place. Kids probably won’t mind as much is my feeling. Also Chad was glad they include googles because chips and dust do go flying around. You’ll see Chad ‘digging’ for gems on these week’s show. It was $12.66 on the Walmart website on 6/24/23
It was also $12.66 on Amazon: https://amzn.to/431iq6W

How To Submit Your Video For The Gadget Warehouse & Win An Autographed Copy of MAD Magazine.
We’d love to include your video in an upcoming Giz Wiz Show! Here’s what we’re looking for! Your home shot video – 2 to 3 minutes long, in any of the following categories:
I bought a piece of crap: Did you buy something you ended up hating? We won’t get you a refund, but we might be able to give a platform to vent your disappointment. Remember, “family friendly” language applies.
–
I invented this! Did you invent something? (Or did a friend or relative invent something.) We can’t market it for you, but we can help get the word out. Show us what it is, and how it works. Even if it’s a prototype, you can get our (and the audience) reactions. No professional ads please.
–
My Gadget Warehouse: Okay, so you don’t have a warehouse. It doesn’t matter. Just tell us about your favorite old gadget(s). When and where you bought it, and why you’re still hanging on to it.
–
My Favorite Gadget (favorite old, or favorite new): Show us what it is, tell us what it does and why you love, or loved it! It can be a new gadget you just bought too.
–
Post them on YouTube and send us the link! We’ll do the rest. (Or possibly nothing, but that’s unlikely.) Remember, videos should be just 2 to 3 minutes long! Low production value is fine, but we should be able to hear you and see you! If we select and show your video on The Giz Wiz you’ll earn a tiny amount of fame (hopefully). And if you live in the US, you’ll also get an autographed 38+ year old Alfred E. Neuman picture and a MAD surprise (most likely the current issue of MAD.) But no matter where you live outside of US, I can autograph an Alfred E. Neuman photo to you, scan it & email you a high res copy if we show your video. Just print it out, frame it, or just hang it up and no one will know it’s a copy. We’ve tested it out and fans say they look terrific! If you submitting warehouse videos for a second, third time, etc., you’ll get the current issue of MAD as a thank you.
All show submissions go to mail@gizwiz.tv
