Meet The Most Powerful Handheld Blower On The Market.
It’s from Hedgehog Dryer and it’s called The Hedgehog JET!
Chad was ‘blown away’ with a demo of it’s power as the spokeperson turned it on himself for the photo here. It’s said to delivery wind of 162 miles per hour! Here’s more info about it from the company. The Hedgehog JET is the world’s strongest handheld cordless blower, delivering 162 mph (262 km/h) of wind power in a sleek, pocket-ready form. Powered by six high-capacity battery cells, it ditches compressed air for an eco-smart, rechargeable solution. At just 700g, this 500W ultra blower tackles dust, leaves, and debris anywhere – perfect for garages, gear and DIY messes. Now for the bad part, the price. The Hedgehog Jet is priced at $299.00. But the company makes a whole link of devices to dry various items, like shoes, boots, even boxing gloves, etc. and they are less expensive. Lots of details on the company website.

Take Notes Anywhere – Via The Ring On Your Finger!
Yes, it’s possible, or soon will be via the Vocci Smar Ring.
Picture this. You’re walking along and you suddenly have a great idea, or you need to remember pick up or buy something. You don’t have a way to write a quick note. No worries, because you’re wearing your Vocci ring! It’s billed as the world’s first note taking ring. It can record a single note or entire conversations. You don’t need to have your phone handy, but once it’s in range, the Vocci app turns your voice into searchable AI text, and even categories. The spokesperson at CES 2026 said the ring can hold up to 8 hours of note taking. And it can pick up voices up to 15 feet. While it’s recording, tap the start button one more time and it will mark when you just said as important. I guess that means AI will put that into an “Important Folder” in the app. Vocci will available in many sizes and styles later this year. The device in the photo, top right, is the ring charger. Coming later in the year, no official price, but a possible $200 mark.

Need Total Privacy When Using Your Cellphone?
Then you should know about the upcoming Wearphone.
Chad visited the Wearphone Booth at Pepcom. The Wearphone is the latest version of gadgets designed to reduce your voice being heard as you speak on your phone in public places, or any place you don’t anyone to hear the conversation. The Wearphone suggest they were designing a product so folks could talk to AI and take calls in a ‘private’ environment no matter where they were. As you can see in photo, it does cover quite a bit of your face. There was no actual demo at CES because they were showing a mock-up of the device. Devices like this tend to be pricey. This one is said to be priced at $500, with pre-orders available for $450.00.

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse
To contrast the new gadgets from CES 2026 we always look back at a gadget of a past CES and wonder: “Did it ever get produced? Is it still for sale?” Here’s a look at the Kodak SupeSur 8 Film (yes, FILM!) Camera I saw at CES 2018 from a Giz Wiz Show eigth years ago. The column I wrote is here too. Wait until you see this week’s show to find out when this camera actually came to market and what it actually sells for!!
At CES 2018, I walked by the Kodak booth and thought I saw an old Kodak Super8 camera on display. I was wrong. Yes, it was a Kodak Super8 camera, and it looked like a retro model, but it was a brand new camera that will go on sale soon. And yes, it uses Super 8mm film! Film that you shoot and mail off to Kodak just the way you did 40 or 50 years ago! Unlike the old super 8 camera, this one has a large flip-out 4-inch LCD screen. It shows what the camera is recording on the Super 8MM cartridge film and it flickers the way old 8MM film did when it ran through a projector. There are other modern features on this camera too, like a Micro HDMI out that will let you monitor the feed on an external monitor. There is a built-in light meter to aid with exposure setting. There’s a camera settings wheel that is very reminiscent of the early iPods. The camera ships with Ricoh 6mm f1.2 lens, but it has a C-mount so professional photographers, which I think this camera is aimed at, can use others lenses they already own and love. There is no audio recorded onto the film, but the camera has a mic input and headphone monitor. Sound is recorded on an SD card using wav format. The camera makes markers on the film so can sound sync them later. The camera takes standard Super 8 50 FT cartridges, but you can shoot at 18, 24, 25 or 36 FPS. There will be an assortment of popular film types available from Kodak. Fully charged, the 7200 mAh internal battery should allow a user to shoot 10 to 12 cartridges of film depending on the film speeds you shoot at. There’s a tripod mount on the bottom for the handgrip, or a tripod. Price is another thing that lets you know this is aimed at the professional market. The camera will be around $3000 (I was told $1500 to $2000 earlier in the day at CES, but later when I stopped back to ask a question, it was changed to $3000.) A Super 8MM cartridge of film, including processing, and a digital copy, and a copy online for you to use, will be about $100. It’s expected to start shipping this spring.
Spoiler Alert! It did make into the market place around 2024, six years later than expected. The price? Sitting down? Almost $5500.00!
