Meet The New Lenovo Legion Go
At a Lenovo press event I got to see and video record the new Legion Go. Lenovo calls it a high-performance gaming laptop in a lightweight handheld system. It featuring a vivid 8.8″ QHD+ touchscreen display, a built-in kickstand, and detachable controllers. It has Windows 11, so you can use all your Windows apps and play Windows games purchased from almost any digital store. The spokesperson said the 49.2W Hr Battery is the largest of all handheld gaming devices at the current time. Inside the Legion Go is a 3.3 GHz AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme 8-Core processor with a 5.1 GHz boost speed and integrated Radeon graphics. Backing it up is 16GB of onboard LPDDR5x-7500 memory and a replaceable 512GB M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 SSD. And you can expand your storage by inserting a micro-SD card. MSRP $699.99, A 1TB option is available for just $50.00 more. It became available October 31st & is shipping this week.

Spice Up Your Shelves!
It’s Easy With The Roysili Spice Rack Magnetic Spice Rack Organizer.
I like these magnetic spice rack organizers a lot. They attach to any magnetic surface with no screws, nails, or tape. Keeps spices or any other smallish items conveniently within reach. It’s a 5 piece set: 2 large: 11.2x 4.33 x3.4 Inches, and 2 slightly smaller floating shelves 10.6. 3.93 x 3.34 inch according to Amazon. Super strong magnets are said to support up to 8 pounds, and that seems right to me. I like these a lot. So do others. It got 4.8 stars out of 5 from almost 3800 reviews. About $38.00. (Both as of 11/1/23)

This Mecha Knight Space Projector Lights Up Your Night!
I bought this fun gadget on sale for about $25. (It was about $28 as of 11/3/23 on Amazon. It works really well. Here are a few features via Amazon: The Dienmern Star Projector features 33 stunning light effects combined with twinkling green stars. Project it onto the walls or ceiling. It’s equipped with a HD lens for a clear and stunning projection. It comes with a remote control, but you can also control it with buttons on the lighted round base. Buttons on the remote control allows you to turn on/off the galactic lights or starlight, change the light mode, adjust the brightness and speed. You can also set the timer for 45 or 90 minutes. Or the Mecha Knight projector automatically turn off after 6 hours. I keep this running on my office wall and ceiling for quite a few hours a day. I like it lot!

Chad’s Crappy Corner
Chad polled our loyal Patreons and they voted on his new theme for November. And that winning theme is Cheap Gadgets That Look Like They Shouldn’t Work!
And Chad’s first gadgets is the Samhousing Adjustable, Foldable Tablet Stand for bed, table, etc.
First, a bit of info from Amazon. The foldable tablet stand can be fitted to your desk, bedside table, headboard, etc. It’s the first tablet arm stand in world with 4 joints, which is fully adjustable and 360-degree rotatable. Bend the arm and turn the holder to the most comfortable viewing position whether your are standing, sitting or lying in bed. $23.99 There was a $2 off coupon there when Chad bought his, so about $22.
And Chad’s take! Chad thought this 4-joint stand would never be able to hold his iPad Pro in place without drooping down. Did it? You’ll see on this week’s show. You’ll also learn why you might have trouble attaching it to furniture. But, it was inexpensive, and you might still have a use for it after you see Chad’s concerns.

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse.
Our email this week is from Patrick & his daughter Scarlet. They have a video of one of our favorite things. Tech of the past! Patrick writes:
Hi Dick! Long time watcher/listener, first time videographer.
My daughter Scarlet and I have a gadget warehouse gadget for the show, the PXL 2000 from Fisher Price. This was a kids camcorder from 1987 that used audio cassette tapes to record audio and video.
I also wanted to thank you for the years of entertainment thru the Giz Wiz and Mad magazine. I’ve been a fan of the Giz Wiz show since it was daily, you even read one of my letter about the Cruising Cooler. Of course I am patreon member too.
I’m also a huge Mad fan and cherish the issue that you signed for me, thank you!

Email of the week:
Mo, emails us:
Sharing an ODD find:
Happened to be passing by a store, in queens, on Broadway & 41 street, & came upon this. No sales person available, a mechanic, who did not speak English well, was able to communicate to me that the item was for sale, it cost 8K dollars, & that it was / is considered an e-bike. What do you think? Would you guys ever get one?

Mo
From the Giz Wiz: It looks like you can buy it here for about $3000 on Aliexpress, but I have no idea how much it would cost to ship it! Also Chad & I and most folks in chat think you’ll never get away with using it on roads and claiming it’s “just a bicycle”.
