The Giz Wiz Buys The Oster Air Fryer w/RapidCrisp Technology!
I’ve been looking for an Air Fryer for a long time and when this versatile machine showed up on sale, I bought one. Here’s info from Amazon: This Oster RapidCrisp Air Fryer Oven combines 12 cooking functions in one oven. It’s an air fryer, convection oven, broiler, toaster oven, dehydrator, and more. The RapidCrisp Technology uses cyclonic air flow for superior air frying results, providing crispier results in up to 50% of the time while using less oil. I like the touch digital controls include presets for pizza, fries, wings, veggies and more. Oven temperature control up to 450°F. With 1150 reviews, it got an impressive 4.5 out of 5 stars. How does it work? You’ll see on this week’s show. When we uploaded this review, it was $169.87 on Amazon 12/1/23

Meet The Tikduck Flying Orb Ball
These flying balls are big this holiday season. The company says their Tikduck flying orb ball features a gyroscope and smart AI chip that promises intelligent flight. Different throwing angles and speeds will create different flight lines and boomerang effect. Made of high-grade ABS material, which is lightweight and flexible, making it able to withstand countless crashes. The propellers are safely concealed within the ball drone. USB Rechargeable: Micro USB connector for 25 minutes to fully charge. Flying time: 8 to 10 minutes. MSRP: $32.99.
From The Giz Wiz: These are great fun, but the secret word is PRACTICE! Pretty much most reviews says it can do wonderful things, if you practice. And it seems like the same flying orb is available under many different brand names.

The Pen/Screen Stylus That’s Also A Fidget Toy!
Ok, it seems fidgets toys are evidently not dead. The Fidget Pen is not only a pen, a screen stylus, but also a toy for folks who like to fidget. It’s a cool gadget for anyone who needs a break from the daily grind. The company says the magnetic blocks are made of the latest magnetic material, non-toxic and free of BPA, phthalates and latex. Strong magnets are sealed inside and the rounded edges make this magnetic playset safe for even kids. Helps release stress and anxiety, boredom or use it simply to pass the time. These are also great for kids with ADD or ADHD and people with OCD or high stress/anxiety levels. Under $18.00

Chad’s Crappy Corner
Chad polled our loyal Patreons and they voted on his new theme for November. And that winning theme is Cheap Gadgets That Look Like They Shouldn’t Work!
And Chad’s final gadget for this month is the Suspended Rope Wine Bottle Holder.
This 3D Magic Wine Rack Alcohol Bottle Holder -definitely looks like it shouldn’t work if you don’t know the secret. The Suspended White Rope version in particular may look like it’s doing an impossible task, but it is indeed a practical wine bottle holder. The exact one Chad shows this week is no longer available, but there are many versions of this on Amazon. I think the chain version even looks more impossible as something that would work. How can a chain not only stand in the air by itself, but also hold a full wine bottle! The link to the Amazon page below goes to a page with huge variety of this type of gadget. When I looked on 12/1/23 there was even a rope version available again. The prices for these are over the place, from about $10 to over $100.

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse
Our fun viewer video with a great demo is from Adam Jakowenko.
Hey Dick and Chad,
I actually bought this sponge because I saw it on your show a few months ago and it is now officially available after being a Kickstarter and then available for pre-order on their website. It just arrived about a week ago and I’ve been using it everyday for various cleaning tasks in the kitchen and around the house. At first the fact that It resists knife cuts seems like a gimmick, but if you use your sponge to regularly clean your knives after using them like I do, then over time this should be much more resilient than a regular sponge.
The website where I purchased it and the 10% discount code that you get if you put your email address in is below, I’ll leave it to you if you want to share that with the audience. I’m guessing it’s the same code everybody gets because it’s pretty generic. I’ll also probably purchase a few more for stocking stuffers this year.

Email of the week:
Lawrence Wengler emails us with some fascinating Kodak news!
Remember the Kodak Super 8 movie camera you featured in episode 1659 back in 2018?
The Verge reports that it is actually coming out on December 4th of this year!
It’s even on B&H Photo’s website, https://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/video/news/kodaks-new-super-8-camera-revitalizing-analog-filmmaking
The price is slightly(lol) higher than originally reported on the show, it’s now $ 5,495.00.
It took Kodak almost as long to develop this camera as NASA took to put a man on the moon.
Kodak is accepting reservations here https://www2.kodak.com/super-8-camera-sign-up and you will NOT find my name on the list.
Cheers, Lawrence
