Chad and our producer/videographer Josh Cheney, are back from CES 2025 in Vegas! Thank you Giz Wiz fan contributors for making that happen!!) This is show 2 of 3 showing off all the fun gadgets and gizmos they found at the show!
Now on to the new gadgets!
There were a LOT of Robot Vacs at the show, but none like this one!
Meet Roborock, the vacuum with a built in robotic arm!
There were a couple of very unique robot vacuums at CES 2025. On World News Now, I talked about the Eufy 3-in-1 robotic vac. On this week’s show, Chad shows the first mass-produced robot vacuum with a foldable five-axis arm! The machine is designed to pick up and move certain debris as it cleans. The arm and claw at the end of it is really compact when stowed, keeping the machine under 3.2 inches. The OmniGrip claw and arm have a lifting capacity of 10.5 ounces. Price to be announced, but Chad said one of their other vacuums available now sells for about $1500.00. So I assume this one will be over the one thousand dollar price.

A New Kind Of Entertainment For Kids
They’re Called Story Phones
Designed to revolutionize kids’ entertainment, Hubble Connected has partnered with ONANOFF and its audio storytelling headphones, StoryPhones. They are said to go beyond traditional wireless headphones as a gateway to a screen-free world of audio adventures and learning. Tailored specifically for young listeners, these innovative wireless headphones offer access to a library of stories and songs, delivered through unique, interchangeable disks, called StoryShields, that attach via magnets. Chad did a web search and found them selling for $80 to $100. The better price was at Target. Additional StoryShields cost up to about $25.00. .

Charge your iPhone in 2 seconds!
What?? 2 Seconds. How can that be? That was the folks at Swippitt claim. Swippitt is an Instant Power System designed to double the lifespan of your phone’s battery and power your day in 2 seconds. Using a hub that looks like a toaster, Swippitt swaps the battery in their specially designed case for your iPhone with a fully charged battery in seconds. It certainly beats traditional charging methods on the market today. There’s a comprehensive app with access to battery stats, family safety, and more. But it’s not inexpensive. The system retails for a bit more than $500, but there was some discount pricing as of 1/24/25.

I Had A Personal Demo At Pepcom NY, Now Chad Had His Personal Demo At CES.
The name of the company is not easy to remember: Neakasa. But the name of the product Magic 1 Steamer is easy and an impressive product. With AirIron Technology, powered by 2300Pa suction, this steam can deeply penetrates fabrics as it draws it back toward the steamer instantly. It delivers maximum steam efficiency, at the same time, cool air flows in to rapidly cool and shape the fabric, triple the performance of traditional steamers. The auto-grip fabric feature allows one-handed operation with no burn risk. Chad was totally impressed with this totally new way to steam out wrinkles. It was on Amazon for $149.99. As of 1/19/25 there was a $20 off coupon there, but as of 1/24/25 it was on sale for $99.99! That price can disappear at any time.

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse – CES Version
For our special CES shows, we go back in time and find a video we shot at a CES show years ago. We pick a video about a product that may or may not have actually made it into production. Or maybe it did, but no one bought it, and the company has folded. We show the video without having checked up on it in all the past years. Then Chad, I and the chatroom try to guess, “Is this gadget still around? Or maybe: “Was this gadget ever made?”
For this week’s show I found a video I shot 10 years ago, at CES 2015. So that gadget in the photo is from 10 years ago. Do you recognize it? All will be revealed on this week’s Giz Wiz Show.
