It looks like this could be a mini, really low cost way to start podcasting There are 2 mic inputs and many controls and adjustments I have no need for here. It comes with a with a USB cable, which is said to allow it to connect with laptops, desktops, or phones. Chad said he might even be able to help me set this up on OBS. This is the upgraded Astronaut Galaxy projector with 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲 that features 𝟴 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗮 and green stars. I did find that this device projected a very wide array of effects, enough to cover the entire ceiling of Gizneyland. (20′ X 16′ is a good guess for the ceiling area.) You can choose the nebula cloud lights mode and star lights mode alone, or both modes of them together, a total 𝟭𝟳 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝘀. By controlling the speed & brightness, you can create impressive lighting effects. I also like that the Astronaut’s head is manically attached, making it very easy to direct the lights wherever you like.  Everything, including speed and brightness, is controlled by the included remote control. However, the Astronaut wears a backpack that has 3 control buttons that works without the remote. It was under $20 on 12/6/24.

It’s December and Chad’s Cheap Gadget Theme, as voted on by Chad himself, is: Cheap Holiday Gadgets. Why was the new theme not voted on by our loyal Patreons? Unfortunately Chad is/was working with Patreon tech support to fix some issues with our account, so our poll never made it online. So Chad figured Holiday Gadgets would be good, cheap, idea.

However, it’s just $5.00 at the Five Below store and online, but shipping will be added online.

Mo Torres, our most loyal and frequent contributor has started another YouTube Channel. This one is quite fascinating because the videos there are 360 degrees, controlled by your mouse! I asked Mo how he records them and got this reply:

I Use an insta360 x4, mounted to the top of my car. I decided to do a 360 video view because the insta360 x4 is capable of a 360 resolution of 4k to 8k. In the past I used another 360 camera, but the best real resolution was more like 480 x 480, the video quality was lacking.

1. Video can be ANYTHING about a gadget: I bought a piece of crap. I bought a gadget I love. I have an old gadget I can’t part with because it was ‘high tech’ years ago! Even a ‘What The Heck Is It? Gadget.

2. Videos should be just 2 to 3 minutes long in Horizontal Format! Low production value is fine, but we need to hear you and see your gadget clearly! You can be in the video if you like.

3. Post your Video on YouTube and click ‘unlisted’ when you upload it if you want, but not “Private” or we won’t be able to see it. Send us the URL link from YouTube.

4. If we show your video (and we show 99% of them) and live in the US or Canada you’ll get an autographed current issue of MAD.) But no matter where you live outside of the US & Canada, I’ll autograph an Alfred E. Neuman photo to you, scan it & email you a high res image. Just print it out, frame it, or just hang it up and no one will know it’s a copy. We’ve tested it out and fans say they look terrific!
