Great Fun For Kids, But Well, I Enjoyed It Too!
It’s the Montessori Toddler Busy Board. I think this baby wooden busy board will be fun and a learning opportunity for toddlers. There are 8 style switches with 15 LED bulbs, 3 Traffic Lights, a 2 Gear Set, 1 Horn and ignition key. It’s said to be a sensory board that will captivate and fascinate your child. It’s also a perfect toy for developing fine motor skills. (Is that a pun — “develop motor skills” since it’s a police car.) Watch how much I enjoyed doing the demo on this week’s show. Yes, it was very entertaining, for me, Chad and the chatroom. Amazon says it’s also a perfect fidget toy and autism sensory toy. Although they also say it a great toddler toy gift for 1 2 3 & 4+ year olds, the box says “3+”. I thought the price was very decent for what you get, under $20

Meet a Wise Owl.
It’s the Lefree Owl Coin Bank. It has a cute owl design with a money counting LCD display. It show the amount saved with each coin pushed through the slot. Kids will love it. The bank box comes with two keys to open the down at the bottom of the bank. Accepts all US coins, meaning pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, half dollars and dollar coins. Watch Chad’s reaction to this bank on this week’s show. It was under $21 on Amazon on 10/24/24.

My Solution To Losing Umbrellas!
I lose a lot of umbrellas. It was raining when I went to the last press event, but stopped by the time I came out. And yes, I forget to take my umbrella home with me when I left. It was a nice $30 Totes, but I didn’t want to make the trip back to the event to hunt for it. So I decided I’d buy a couple of cheap umbrellas. That way I wouldn’t mind losing it. Checking a lot of umbrellas on Amazon, I Iiked the Yoobure mini purse umbrella. It has a 39.5″ arched canopy, UV protection, and yet folds down to a mere 7.1″. And it weighs just 0.55 lbs with a waterproof case. I bought two. How did I like them? You’ll see the whole review on these week’s show and hear about some other ‘cheap umbrella finds’ from the chatroom. The Yoobure umbrella was under $9 when I bought mine on Amazon.

Chad’s Crappy Corner
It’s October, and Chad’s Cheap Gadget Theme, as voted on by our loyal Patreons is Cheap Halloween Gadgets!
Chad’s 4th Cheap Halloween Gadget is the LED Peep n’ Peepers Flashing Eye Lights.
Chad bought these at Spirit of Halloween. Here’s what they say about them: Haunt your home with these eerie Peep n’ Peepers luminescent eyes! String this spooky Halloween decoration amongst the foliage and give trick-or-treaters the chills. Includes: 3 flashing eyes.
Chad liked these and agreed they would look scary staring out from a thick bush or tree. He especially liked the eight hours on/16 hours off timer built-in. That’s great since these are battery operated. He thought there was a lot of wire to deal with, but considering you’ll only have to wire them once each Halloween, it’s was okay. Chad paid $19.99.

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse
Our email this week is from Mo Torres.
It’s a demo of a unique kind of light switch he installed in his son’s bedroom. Chad instantly recognized what the switch represented and explained: “This is great! This a light switch for people who played video games from days long gone. The big buttons on the one Mo installed are red and blue, but checking on Amazon you’ll find an amazing choices of these fun light switches. The switch is called: Arcade Light Switch Plate Cover.
Mo used the 1-Gang Rocker Wall Plate Game Room Faceplate Replacement
Here’s Mo’s video: https://youtu.be/031qgYRh5o8
Mo didn’t provide a link to the one he bought, but I found this one Amazon. It was $9.99 on 10/24/24

Email of the week: (Misfiled, recently found, and great to learn how a long time fan listened to the show in the early days!
Dick and Chad, I can’t believe it is episode 2000! I’ve been a fan since episode 1, and before that with Leo on the Screensavers. I remember that my old car had no way to input into the sound system. I used to burn Daily Giz Wiz episodes onto a reusable CD to listen to on my commute. Times have changed! Again congratulations, and best wishes for many great(?) episodes in the future.
