Giz Wiz Show #1983, Thursday April 11, 2024
The first Giz Wiz Show – called The Daily Giz Wiz back then – was February 20th 2006! If it wasn’t for our loyal supporters, the Giz Wiz Show would be gone. If you’d like to support OMGchad & DickDe in our independent venture (we have zero ads) just click the Patreon link at the top of our show web page. There’s a PayPal link there too. Thank you! www.gizwiz.tv.
On this week’s show – Is it Possible? Yes, it is! I Found Another Way To Use LED’s!
Instead of fireflies, or worse, Spotted Lantern Flies, I bought The Romwish LED Landscape Spotlights for illumination in the backyard. After seeing trees lit from the bottom up in a newly installed sidewalk nearby, we thought that would work for our backyard tree. It was some of the info from the company that influenced our decision to buy these landscape spotlights: 10W COB LED Light Chips with up to 1100 lumen. Comes with 59 inch 3-prong US power cord. You can adjust the emitting angle by the 270 degrees rotating bracket and spike base. 3000K warm white, longer service life up to 50,000 hours. Waterproof IP65. Watch this week’s show to see how they look in the unboxing and then is use in the backyard. They were just $19.99 for a pair.

Make Your Tablet Able To Go Round And Round
I use a cheap tablet to watch my outdoor trains in my yard. But as I move around I have reposition the old wooden tablet holder I have. Then I saw the OrlianTablet Stand with 360 Swivel Base. Looked decent, had nice reviews, so I bought one. This tablet stand is easy to elevate and tilt your tablet to a perfect viewing angle, and the joint are tight, so it won’t move on its on. With the ‘clicking’ 360° rotation base, you can quickly adjust the angle of the tablet holder for best viewing angle. The company says their tablet stand fits any tablet, e-reader, or smartphone up to 12.9’’ even with a case on. Foldable & Portable. Measures 6x 5x 1 inches. I paid $14.99 for mine on Amazon. Chad and chatroom liked this a lot.

The Final LED Gadget — At Least For This Show! (Or is it?)
The Lightbiz LED Wall Lights with Remote have a built-in 3000mAh rechargeable battery, AND a name you can pronounce! They are button controlled on the light itself or via remote control. There are 3 color temperature settings on both and on the remote, additional controls for on/off timing. Color temperatures are 3000K-4500K-6000K. As usual, the working time after full charge is determined based on brightness. The company says fully charged the light can work for up to 24hrs in medium brightness, with maximum brightness up to 15hrs. And yes, this device has USB-C charging! But wait, there’s more. This bedside lamp use magnetic technology. (“Technology” is one our ‘smile’ words used a lot these days!) The lamp body and lamp holder are connected magnetically so the lamp body can rotate at any angle. You can take it off the wall in seconds and use it as flashlight, work light, emergency light, etc. MSRP: $19.99, but they’re cheaper if you buy more than one.

Chad’s Crappy Corner
It’s April and for Chad’s new April Crappy Corner Theme voted on by our loyal Patreons is Chad’s Cheap Gadget Theme is Gadgets On Sale!
Chad’s 2nd Cheap On Sale Gadget is the Feit Electric 3 Light Level Bulb
I’ve never seen an LED bulb like the one Chad found on sale at Walmart. Once you screw this 60 watt bulb into the socket, you can adjust the light level with the light switch. You’ll see Chad demo it in a lamp on this week’s show. Turn it on and it’s on full brightness, turn it off and on again, it’s medium brightness. Turn it on and off again and it’s lowest brightness. You don’t need any kind of special switch like most other 3-way bulbs. Another feature Chad liked is that it remembers the last brightness you set and lights that way when you turn it on. Chad explains how that magic happens on this week’s show. As you can see in the photo, it was sale at Walmart’s for just $3.50. I guess it’s a closeout, because I spent at least 30 minutes searching one of these Feit 3 Level bulbs online and I didn’t find it.
