Giz Wiz Show #1987, Friday May 10th.
Wow! This show is show #9 of year 19!! (So, big deal.)
The first Giz Wiz Show – called The Daily Giz Wiz back then – was February 20th 2006! If it wasn’t for our loyal supporters, the Giz Wiz Show would be gone. If you’d like to support OMGchad & DickDe in our independent venture (we have zero ads) just click the Patreon link at the top of our show web page. There’s a PayPal link there too. Thank you! www.gizwiz.tv.
On this week’s show we visit The Pepcom Home Now! Well Now! Show in NYC.
First up, the Argus 4 Pro, World’s First 4K Battery Camera with ColorX Night Vision.
This 4K UHD Dual Camera has quite a few outstanding features. The ColorX “
Bright As Day” Color Vision is quite impressive. On this week’s show you’ll see a 4K image as seen by the Argus 4 Pro is bright daylight and again at 4 in the morning. Sure, the colors, look a bit washed out compared to the daytime image, but the spokesperson at the ReoLink booth said the nightime photo was shot in total darkness! Other features include Next-Gen Wi-Fi 6, 180 degree panorama views created when the camera images are stitched together. It’s powered by a long lasting battery that is solar powered. There’s also 2-way audio and multiple storage options, including a micro SD card, which can be mounted inside the camera. Suggested retail is under $200 and it will arrive in the market place about June 10th of this year. I did not see this exact new unit on Amazon as of 5/10/24, about a month before it’s official release.

One Appliance, Three Ways To Prepare Meals Using It
It’s the Dreo ChefMaker CombiCook. We saw it once before at Pepcom, but this time it’s actually in the marketplace. Here’s a bit from the company explaining what it can do. ChefMaker controls all the cooking through its precise cook probe, water atomization and super convection heating systems. Unlike traditional cookers, ChefMaker automatically divides the cooking process into steps, resulting in a perfect balance of doneness, browning, juiciness, and aroma. You can expect to achieve perfect results by just pressing a button, thanks to the ingredient-based presets in Chef Mode. Make fast meals by simply choosing your cooking style in Classic Mode, or take full control and experiment with temperature settings just like master chefs do in Probe Mode.

Amazon: https://amzn.to/44BHbZP It was not at the ‘sale’ price mentioned in the video on Amazon as of 5/10/24, so a web search might find a lower sale price.

Chad’s Crappy Corner
Chad’s New May theme, picked by our loyal Patreons is Ta Da! —— Cheap Gadgets From Off-Price Retailers!
Chad’s 1st off-price gadget is the $5 Travel Lint Shaver from G-Force. It runs on one double AA battery and is quite noisy, as you’ll see and HEAR. Watch this week’s show to see Chad ‘shave’ a blanket and a couple of different shirts. Was he happy with his $5 purchase? Watch the show and find out. On Amazon, there are more than a dozen of these shavers, most priced about $10. That’s twice the $5 Chad paid, but most of the $10 ones were rechargeable shavers that would save you money and time over a long period of time.
Assorted versions of a lint shaver on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3UVdvDX
I also found the G-Force Brand Lint Shaver on Amazon for $15.99, so Chad did well finding it for $5.00. Strangely, there were NO rating for the device when I saw it on 5/10/24.

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse
Our email this week is from Jacob T who lives in Sweden. Jacob emails us about a unique gadget he found about ten years ago! And Jacob was able to join us ‘live’ in chat, while we were recording the show which was great fun for Chad, I and the other Giz Wiz chat-people! Here’s Jacob’s email:
Hi Dick and Chad.
I found an old gadget I bought many years ago, that I have been wanting to show you and see what you think of. I thought I had thrown it out, but no, it was there in the back of a drawer.
I’m not going to apologize for my glisten. I mostly speak Swedish here where I live, but I hope you can understand me. 😉
