Two more clever gadgets from the Hamilton Beach Preview.
Meet The Numilk and Mini Countertop Ice Maker
Via the company: Numilk is the fast, fresh way to make plant-based milk at home. There’s a wide variety of flavor pouches including almond milk. Just add water to the bottle, insert a Numilk pouch, press start and voilà. fresh plant-based milk is ready to serve in about 60 seconds. That’s faster — and fresher — than buying plant-based milk from the store. Machine is about $200 and it ships with four flavor pouches. Additional flavor pouches are about $5-$6 each.
Hamilton Beach Bullet Countertop Ice Maker Machine
Via Hamilton Beach: When it’s time for cold ice, no one wants to wait. With this countertop ice maker machine, ice is ready when you are — it makes a whole batch in just 6 to 8.5 minutes.

Duke’s Mayo – It’s Sugar Free.
At the press event we learned that the one-of-a-kind flavor of Duke’s Mayonnaise is made with Eugenia Duke’s original 1917 recipe. Duke’s says it’s delicious on sandwiches, in salads, and even as a key baking ingredient. I did not know that Duke’s Mayonnaise is the third-largest mayonnaise brand in the United States. Hellmann’s is widely known for its smooth, creamy texture and slightly tangy flavor, while Duke’s is celebrated for its rich, tangy taste and lack of added sugar. Yes, who knew mayo had sugar in it. And the spokesperson Ashley, was right. I checked it out and saw it listed right there on the Hellman’s label. Could I tell the difference between the two? I took a taste test to find out and you’ll see how I did on this week’s show.

The Microwave Left-Over Pizza Crisper, does it really work?
Dennis and I love pizza, and often have leftover slices. More than once I wondered if those ‘reheat and make it crispy’ trays really worked. So I bought one of those Microwave Pizza (& Bacon) Crispers. The elevated fins are said to help distribute heat evenly and keep the crust from getting soggy. The product description notes that “timing will vary depending on wattage of your microwave,” so you may need to adjust based on your specific microwave. The dish itself is said to be a microwave oven safe, BPA-free 10” round plate. Did it work? Watch this week’s show to find out! MSRP: $15.99.

Chad’s Crappy Corner
It’s August and on the winning Cheap Gadget theme, voted on by our loyal Patreons is Cheap Disco Gadgets, (including lights, sounds, etc.)
Chad’s 4th Cheap Disco Gadget is Merkury Innovations LED Matrix Pixel Night Light Display.
The Walmart page says: Connects via Bluetooth app to easily create and display animations, images, or text. Enjoy visual shows synced to your music with sound-reactive modes. Choose from a large library of eye-catching animations and use the 16×16 pixel grid to display DIY art and more Unleash your creativity with this innovative 6″ Matrix LED Display. —– That all sounds good. But when Chad went to the provided link, it came up “app not available”. Chad did a web search and found others who said there is no working app. Without the app, this is device is pretty useless as you’ll see. But, in checking the latest price a couple of days after we recorded this show, I see this on the Walmart website: IMPORTANT: New and improved app! Download MATRIX DISPLAY PLUS now from the app store with updated design and features!
So maybe they fixed it. I’ll pass this info on to Chad to see if it ‘saves’ the ‘piece of crap’ disco gadget! Chad paid about $18.00.

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse
As you may know, Mo Torres is doing an inedible massive undertaking for me. He is digitizing more than 100 video tapes of me on various shows of the past showing “the latest” (back then!) gadgets. This week, it’s a video of me from CNBC’s Steals & Deals, which I did a weekly gadget spot for about 5 years. In the video I’m in my real MAD offices showing my favorite gadgets for 1992! Yep, gadgets from 33 years ago! Some of them are laughable by today’s standards, but still great fun to see how far we’ve come in the gadget world! Still, one of my favorites today, is The Locomotive Telephone shown in the photo. (It’s still on display here at Gizneyland, but not in use. You’ll see a demo of it though on this week’s show.)

Email of the week: From Mo Torres
I received an email from You Tube about a month or so ago, about subtitles in different languages being rolled out on my videos, & the some or all were going to have this feature. YouTube said that my videos were going to be scrubbed / scanned so that YouTube could provide subtitles to some or all my videos on my channel. I just was looking over this video of you, & realized that not only the subtitles are in different languages, but they also did dubbing in 9 different languages. So you could play it back in German, Spanish or Japanese, & a few other languages. So cool to hear you speaking Japanese. Mo.
From the Gizx Wiz. Check it out: https://youtu.be/WrWIi2nRl9Y (The chatroom says I’m talking German in the video, but it seems you can have me talk in 7 different languages! You’ll see Chad’s demo on this week’s show. But, strangely, English is not an option!
