Giz Wiz Show #1990, Thursday May 30rd, 2024.
Wow! We’re in year 19 of The Giz Wiz Show! (So, big deal.)
The first Giz Wiz Show – called The Daily Giz Wiz back then – was February 20th 2006! If it wasn’t for our loyal supporters, the Giz Wiz Show would be gone. If you’d like to support OMGchad & DickDe in our independent venture (we have zero ads) just click the Patreon link at the top of our show web page. There’s a PayPal link there too. Thank you! www.gizwiz.tv.
We Start This Week’s Show With A Great Travel Gadget
It’s the MULISOFT 30L Travel Packable Backpack
This little black bag with a handle is just about 7” X 9” X 3” out of the package. But you open it completely, it’s a 18.3” x12” x 7.08” handy backpack. The company says even when fully packed in all compartments, it complies with flight regulations and can be carried on as a personal item. It’s made of a super lightweight polyester fabric that is water resistant, but not waterproof. The company adds: With a 30L capacity, this backpack can accommodate essential items needed for a 3-5 day trip. It can easily fit a 15-inch laptop, (but it has no padding, so pack soft clothing around it. People in chat were impressed with this backpack and its low price. It sells for under $20 on Amazon.

The Square Folding Comfy Chair
My spouse Dennis Wunderlin wanted a ‘comfortable chair’ to use when we watch TV in my apartment. It had to be easy to to get in and out of, and it had to fold up. I found the OAKHAM Comfy Saucer Chair on Amazon. It’s a square chair, and it fills the bill. The folding chair needs no assembly and sets up easily right out of the box. The company says it’s made of thickened Q195 carbon structural steel and can support up to 220 lbs. It is covered in a soft faux fur, that actually looks quite good and is comfortable to sit on. But for the summer we bought a ‘square chair stretch cover’ which fits fine and should feel cooler. You’ll see it all on this week’s show. The chair was under $70 and the cover was under $20.

Suffer From Motion Sickness?
This could be an inexpensive solution! But it is strange looking.
They’re the Neoism Anti Motion Sickness Glasses and you’ll see how weird they look when I put them on. However, the company says it offers “Effective Relief for 95% of Motion Sickness Symptoms. You put them on and fix your gaze on a stationary object like a book or cell phone for 10-14 minutes. The discomfort of car motion sickness will gradually disappear.” These anti motion sickness glasses have liquid-filled circles to create an artificial horizon in your vision, said to re-synchronize your eyes with their balance system. A lot of people in the reviews said they work. They’re under $10, so it is probably worth that much to see if they work for you if you have motion sickness.

Chad’s Crappy Corner
Chad’s May theme is Cheap Gadgets From Off-Price Retailers!
Chad’s final off-price gadget is the Goodyear Organizer Hook.
Chad found this at his local Ross store for $4, almost half the normal $7-$8 selling price. It’s for hanging shopping bags, or most any kind of bag on the back of the car’s front seat. Chad found it wouldn’t work on his Telsa because the seat back headrest does not have a wire support. But he found a friend’s car that does. You’ll see Chad’s complete demo on this week’s show and his quickie test to determine if the stated weight limit of 10 pounds was true. Considering you’re supposed to use this gadget to hang shopping bags, probably full of groceries you just bought, ten pounds is a really low number! Also Chad had a hard time finding it online, but he’ll explain it all on the show! (Hint: Someone said they saw these were being sold on Poshmark.)
