Now on to the show—-
Ever Wonder If Some Of The Paper Money You Have Is Real?
Well, you can check it out with the Portable Counterfeit Bill Detector. It features dual UV lights for clear identification of counterfeit bills by highlighting security threads and anti-counterfeit markers. It also has a built in lighted 8X magnifier to spot fine details and security markings. The company says that their high-intensity back-light can instantly reveal the “hidden” watermark pattern inside the a bank note. I bought mine on Amazon and it was under $28.00 as of 9/11/25.
After I bought that Portable Detector, I thought I’d like something smaller and easier to use. So the second counterfeit bill gadget I bought was the the Dri Mark Dual Test Counterfeit Money Detector Pen, with UV Light. As you’ll see on the show, it’s really simple to use. Just mark a bill with a small check mark, X, etc. If the bill is real, the mark will be yellow. If it’s black, it’s counterfeit. Then there’s the powerful UV light embedded in the cap you can use to reveal the hidden security stripe found in all 5 dollar bills and higher. That’s found in bills up to $100 and those secret strips started appearing in money minted beginning in the mid 1990’s. The kit includes 3 marking pens, and one interchangeable pen cap that has the built-in UV light. The kit was $14.99 on Amazon on 9/12/25.

Is Your Toothbrush 99.99% Germ Free?
The wall mounted TYPLFH UVC LED Toothbrush Sterilization Box says the cleaning rate is up to 99.99%. And why not, it uses purple light technology. And AI says: “The purple light in the toothbrush sanitizer utilizes ultraviolet (UV).” The company says a 1.5 hour charge will give you about 30 days of use. There’s an inner compartment that pops out for easy cleaning. The UV light treatment takes 5 minutes, and the light comes on when you close the case and shuts off automatically. Strangely, part of the copy on Amazon says the clear window says you see the inner workings of the device. And elsewhere it says “don’t look at the UV light”. The back of the unit is magnetic and it comes with a stick-on magnetic disc to make it easy to mount the device on the wall. It’s small, so it’s also great for travel. And I thought, inexpensive at $19.99 on Amazon as of 9/11/25.

Big Memory – 2TB — Tiny Package… Via Western Digital
I needed some additional storage, so I bought a WD 2TB My Passport SSD Portable External Solid State Drive. When a smallish envelope came I wondered “what could this be?” OMG, it was my SSD External Hard Drive. It’s a little bigger than 3 X 4 inches and weighs a whopping 1.5 oz. Chad said, wow, that will fast. Here’s a bit of what Amazon says: “Blazing fast NVMe technology with speeds of up to 1050MB/s and write speeds of up to 1000MB/s. Password enabled 256-bit AES hardware encryption. Shock and vibration resistant. Drop resistant up to 6.5ft (1.98m). I paid $139.99 + tax on Amazon and was still that price as of 9/12/25.

Chad’s Crappy Corner
It’s September Chad’s Cheap Theme, voted on by our loyal Patreons, is Cheap TV and Home Entertainment Gadgets!
Chad’s second Cheap TV gadget is the onn Streaming Media Device Mount.
As Chad pointing out, sometimes you have a gadget you want for your TV, but there’s no place to conveniently put it. He found this solution at Walmart. This inexpensive “Streaming media device mount” is installed on the back your TV. It’s pretty quick and easy to install and comes with straps and hardware to fit a wide range of streaming media devices. Chad said the straps are a bit hard to work with, but you’ll see that in this week’s show. Chad liked that this did work for his needs and that it was only about $11!
I found it here on Walmart: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Onn-UL-Listed-TV-Wall-Mount-Black/13479467420?classType=REGULAR&from=/search
This looks like the same thing on Amazon, but it $3+ more.

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse
Our email is from loyal fans and frequent contributors Jeff & Adam
Good Afternoon Gentlemen,
Dick, a few months ago Adam and I visited your studio and you had given us this item to test and create a gadget warehouse video -well today was the day!
Adam and I pulled the battery tab (watch batteries for the clock), inserted four double AA batteries for the actual device and tested it. Needless to say the clock is cool and has a nice blue back light, it does also have the ability to use an AC adapter, but as a working “flying alarm helicopter alarm clock” it doesn’t seem to work. We tried numerous time ls and no luck. It even has a “Test” button on the top of the clock and it only seems to make noise that can basically wake the dead. If that is all customers want then the alarm itself is very loud, otherwise it should be filed under the “crappy-do not buy” category- love the show!!!
P.S It did receive a total of 2.2 stars on Amazon – at least the one I found – there are several variations available.
