Giz Wiz Show #1991, Thursday June 6th 2024.
Wow! We’re in year 19 of The Giz Wiz Show! (So, big deal.)
The first Giz Wiz Show – called The Daily Giz Wiz back then – was February 20th 2006! If it wasn’t for our loyal supporters, the Giz Wiz Show would be gone. If you’d like to support OMGchad & DickDe in our independent venture (we have zero ads) just click the Patreon link at the top of our show web page. There’s a PayPal link there too. Thank you! www.gizwiz.tv.
We Started This Week’s Show With A Tiny WTHII
It was pretty hard to guess, but since we showed what it was, I can tell you the official of the device is The Sung Plug. It’s ideal for older outlets that weaken with age and let AC plugs, especially big or heavy ones, just fall out! I have that problem with an outlet in the bedroom, while vacuuming, the slightly heavier plug kept falling out of the outlet. Surprisingly, this thing works as you’ll see in my demo on this week’s show. They’re supposed to glow in the dark, but mine didn’t seem to do that. For what they are, they seem a little pricey, but it works, so I’m happy. I paid $10.99 for a box of 10 Snug Plugs. And as the company says: CAREFUL when removing plugs, Snug Plug may fall out. Yes, my Snug Plug fell out, but it’s very easy to stick back in!

Do You Need A Flashlight With This Many Strange Features?
Meet The 14-Feature Flashlight w/Alarm
The Boruit V10 mini edc flashlight was a ‘deal of the day’ and had a lot of good reviews, so I bought one to check out. It has a maximum brightness up to 1000 lumens, plus 6 color lights side of the flashlight, plus a black light. All 14 functions are controlled by 2 buttons, so it can get confusing when you 1st start using it. I’m not even sure why you need the 7 the side lights (white/yellow/green/red/blue/red flash/red blue flashing). Or even the uv light said to be good for checking banknotes or fluorescent agents on clothing. Huh? It has a magnetic on the bottom which Chad pointed out could keep getting stuck to your keys since this is pitched as a keychain flashlight. It’s seems a bit big for that, at least to me. It’s USB-C Rechargeable with a built-in 1000mah battery. And it said to be IPX4 waterproof. It was about $23 on 6/7/24, with a newer model also available for about $10 more! Link to both models below on Amazon.

A Strange What The Heck Is It?
As you’ll see on the show, it’s the INNCNN Remote Scrolling Ring .
This scrolling ring is said to do a lot! With the TikTok remote scrolling ring, users can effortlessly control page scrolling, adjust volume, play/pause, and like videos, all free from touchscreen limitations. Don’t use TikTok? It can also be used as a page turner for iPad iPhone, allowing users to have a hands-free page-turning experience, freeing them from the cumbersome touchscreen operation. But this what I wanted it for? This remote offers users the convenience of taking photos and recording videos remotely. I wanted a way to turn the video capture on my phone on and off remotely. I bought it for that and it doesn that! It also does a lot more, but with just buttons, there is a huge learning curve. Or, just keep the instruction booklet with you when you use the device. The best news is, it’s just about $20. Even cheaper on AliExpress. It charges via USB-C and even has a mini phone holder built into the little charging case. You see it all on this week’s show.

Chad’s Crappy Corner.
Chad’s Brand New June theme!
Chad polled our loyal Patreons to have them pick his new June Theme. Their choice was ‘train gadgets’, gadgets you can use for trains, cars, buses, actually any form of transportation.
For his 1st Train Gadget segment Chad found two gadgets from AutoDrive. He got both at Walmart, each one was under $6.
One is the Auto Drive Black Mesh Car Side Twisty Sunshade. Perfect for keeping your car’s interior protected from the sun or hot temperatures, it can be used for almost all vehicles’ interiors and is easy to install or store in its handy carry bag. The other gadget was Auto Drive Twist round discs that pop open for use. After use, they compress and lay flat. Put in carry bag, ready to use again.
You can find both on these page on the Walmart website: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Auto-Drive-Black-Mesh-Car-Side-Twist-Sunshade-Product-Size-18-x-14-2-Count/129473690?athbdg=L1103&from=/search

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse
Our email this week is from Chris H who writes:
Hello Dick and Chad,
Here’s my entry for a gadget warehouse.
If there’s any issue with the video, or if you’ve shown the same gadget before I’d be happy to send in another.

Love the show,
Chris
Chris didn’t mention where he bought his, but I found it here on Amazon. It does seem a bit pricey. Check the latest price on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3wXznWa
