Giz Wiz Show #1992, Thursday June 13th 2024.
Wow! We’re in year 19 of The Giz Wiz Show! (So, big deal.)
The first Giz Wiz Show – called The Daily Giz Wiz back then – was February 20th 2006! If it wasn’t for our loyal supporters, the Giz Wiz Show would be gone. If you’d like to support OMGchad & DickDe in our independent venture (we have zero ads) just click the Patreon link at the top of our show web page. There’s a PayPal link there too. Thank you! www.gizwiz.tv.
This Week We Look At Gadgets From The Housewares for the Holidays Show.
We Start With A Brand New Travel Coffee Kit from Aero Press.
It’s called the AeroPress Go Plus. The company says it’s a complete travel coffee system — you can unpack it, and brew your favorite coffee blend. What’s nice is that you brew into the provided mug, sip from it, and when finished, pack everything into the travel tumbler. Clever is that the mug comes with a magnetic leak-resistant lid and built in filter holder. After you’ve finish your coffee, rinse and repack the press back into the custom tumbler. Crystal-clear shatterproof Tritan press and 18/8 stainless steel tumbler make the AeroPress Go Plus tough enough to travel anywhere. It went on sale early June 2024. MSRP $79.95

The Most Unique Housewares Accessory I Found At The Show.
First, some amazing figures. Could you ever guess that there are 1.5 billion chopsticks tossed out each week! That’s 5.4 trillion chopsticks per year. Fortunately, Renew By Trinity is transforming this valuable, raw material and giving it a purposeful well-designed life. As you’ll see on this week’s show they make the carefully treated chopsticks into beautiful multipurpose cutting and serving pieces. There are even drink coasters, all made of 100% recycled chopsticks! Double sided and shinning with a food grade natural mineral oil finish they look amazing. Prices start at $40 for a 4 piece recycled chopsticks coaster set available with many different mini designs in the corners.

Dreamfarm Shows Off Their Flapple!
Flapple? What’s a Flapple? Well, it’s a Fold-Flat Apple Corer & Slicer with A Mini Cutting Board & Blade Safety Cover! The company says it’t space-saving and portable, thanks to the raised handles that fold-flat. The fold-flat handles lock the base to cover the blades for safe storage. The auto-aligning base is designed to complete cuts without a cutting board. Wide cutter divides all sizes of apples into 8 equal pieces and removes their core. It’s down with ultra-sharp, double-reinforced Japanese stainless steel blades. MSRP $14.99.

Chad’s Crappy Corner
Chad polled our loyal Patreons to have them pick his new June theme. Their choice was ‘train gadgets’, or more broadly, gadgets you can use on trains, or in cars, buses, or any form of transportation.
For his 2nd Train Gadget Chad actually booked, and took a day long train trip to try the Seat Sleeper!
You’ll see Chad trying to be very quiet setting up his Seat Sleeper on an early morning train without disturbing the people in the seats behind him. He’ll explain how you need to set up this pillow for a trip. It’s a bit strange because it comes with an adjustable seat strap that about 4-feet in length and it has to go completely around the seat you’re in. The company says SeatSleeper is small enough to fit a pocket of your handbag, making it a portable travel must-have. Made of soft polyester, it’s comfortable to the skin. And Chad said it does come in a nice carry case. But don’t miss Chad’s quiet demo!
Chad paid about $18 for his SeatSleeper.
