For 42 years I wrote a boating gadgets column for Powerboat Magazine. It was a magazine devoted to go-fast boats. I still keep in touch with high power boats, so when I heard about Nautique’s all-electric Super Air Nautique GS22E I wanted to find out more about it.
What is the SUPER AIR NAUTIQUE GS22E. The “E” is for electric! Yes, it’s the first top-of-the-line fully electric ski boat. Here’s some info on this new breakthrough from the company: The Super Air Nautique GS22E is a revolutionary electric towboat unlike anything else on the market today. For the ultimate on-water experience, Nautique has partnered with our sister company, Ingenity Electric, to bring the latest in electric propulsion technology to our multi-sport GS22E. The award-winning Ingenity Electric system operates using clean energy that delivers optimal performance for watersports activities in an eco-friendly package. Built onto the already widely popular Super Air Nautique GS22 platform, this new GS22E is a boat ready to connect families that like to do a little of everything on the water while emitting zero-emissions.
I had a chat with Shawn Perry, Brand Strategy Manager at Nautique, and asked him about the market for this boat and the charging options for it. I talk about his answers on this episode so you’ll want to watch. I won’t tell you the price of this boat here, but I’m willing to bet you won’t come close to it when you take a guess! On air, Chad guessed the price really close!

October brings Halloween and I find a great Halloween decoration.
Like me, you might like this 18.5” wooden skeleton LED light. Five Below says their wooden skeleton LED light is some electrifying Halloween decor! The detailed, carved wood has a skeleton portrait that lights up the bones in eerie purple neon. so rad we might keep it out all year. Size: 11in (W) x 18.5in (H) x 1.5in (D). Req’s 2 x AA batteries (not included). For indoor use. And yes, it’s just $5.00.
From the Giz Wiz: Mine came broken, as you’ll see on this week’s show. But we were able to put it back together again so it looked pretty good standing in the window at Gizneyland. It does look like neon, but the effect is done with purple LED’s. It’s certainly worth the $5!!

Chad’s Crappy Corner and his brand new October theme voted on by our loyal Patreons.
Here’s a bit of info from the company: If you want a fun family pumpkin carving activity while creating decor you can keep and reuse year after year, try the 13-Inch Carvable Plastic Halloween Pumpkin from Hyde & EEK! Boutique™. This plastic Halloween pumpkin comes in orange, cream or teal with a brown stem, providing a natural shape that you can easily paint and carve to create your own custom home decor. Once you’ve carved the simple or elaborate design of your choice, this plastic pumpkin can be used year after year, unlike a real pumpkin that has to be tossed after the spooky season ends. It’s a fun activity for the family that also gives you a Halloween keepsake to treasure. $12.00. Target has a 9″ version too for $8.00.
And Chad’s take? Chad liked this carvable pumpkin and as you’ll see in this week’s show he tried to make it into a Giz Wiz pumpkin. How did it turn out? You’ll have to watch this week’s show to see. But Chad thought this was a great idea to have a pumpkin you can use year after year. Also he liked the idea of not having to clean out a real pumpkin with all the seeds and innards. Definitely worth investigating if you want a carved pumpkin this Halloween.

Dick Gadget Warehouse & How To Submit Your Video & Win An Autographed MAD Magazine.
Our email of the week is from a long-time fan Jeffrey Slomovitz. At first I thought this was a video Jeff made himself, but it’s not. We decided to still use it and send Jeff a MAD for finding it. It’s an interesting update on the VW vinyl record player Chad found last month for his “mimic gadgets” month theme.
Here’s Jeff’s email:
Subject: Rokblok portable record player
Good Evening Sir,
I watched your last show where Chad showed the VW record player bus. I remember a few years ago a new updated version was highlighted on Shark Tank. In fact one of the Sharks not only invested in the company, he bought the entire company. It is called the “Rokblok” and the biggest difference is – it does have an internal speaker, but it is also Bluetooth.
I included the link below. Thank you, Jeff
https://rokblok.co/ (It’s $99.00)

We’d love to include your video in an upcoming Giz Wiz Show! Here’s what we’re looking for! Your home shot video – 2 to 3 minutes long, in any of the following categories:
I bought a piece of crap: Did you buy something you ended up hating? We won’t get you a refund, but we might be able to give a platform to vent your disappointment. Remember, “family friendly” language applies.
–
I invented this! Did you invent something? (Or did a friend or relative invent something.) We can’t market it for you, but we can help get the word out. Show us what it is, and how it works. Even if it’s a prototype, you can get our (and the audience) reactions. No professional ads please.
–
My Gadget Warehouse: Okay, so you don’t have a warehouse. It doesn’t matter. Just tell us about your favorite old gadget(s). When and where you bought it, and why you’re still hanging on to it.
–
My Favorite Gadget (favorite old, or favorite new): Show us what it is, tell us what it does and why you love, or loved it! It can be a new gadget you just bought too.
–
Post them on YouTube and send us the link! We’ll do the rest. (Or possibly nothing, but that’s unlikely.) Remember, videos should be just 2 to 3 minutes long! Low production value is fine, but we should be able to hear you and see you! If we select and show your video on The Giz Wiz you’ll earn a tiny amount of fame (hopefully). And if you live in the US, you’ll also get an autographed 38+ year old Alfred E. Neuman picture and a MAD surprise (most likely the current issue of MAD.) But no matter where you live outside of US, I can autograph an Alfred E. Neuman photo to you, scan it & email you a high res copy if we show your video. Just print it out, frame it, or just hang it up and no one will know it’s a copy. We’ve tested it out and fans say they look terrific! If you submitting warehouse videos for a second, third time, etc., you’ll get the current issue of MAD as a thank you.
All show submissions go to mail@gizwiz.tv

Email of the week:
This week’s email is from Ryan Knopp and it’s a bit of info about the Butter spreader from last show. It is the Cuisinart Stainless Steel Butter Wheel: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07M6ZVKJR/?tag=097-20&ascsubtag=v7_3_3_2q15_5e98_0_x01_-srt1
Ryan’s Message: When I worked in fast food during high school 22 yrs ago we had that same thing. You can butter biscuits and bread and things very fast. Not sure if it’s needed at home though.
From the Giz Wiz. I guess that old cliche ‘everything old is new again’ is true!
