Ever Buy Something, Return It, And Buy It Again.
About 3 months ago I bought the Motorola Stylus G 2025 on Amazon. I shot a demo video for the Giz Wiz Show and although Chad and the chatroom thought the picture quality was very good, I didn’t like the way the phone sometimes took a few seconds to adjust focus as I moved around. So, I returned it. But recently Google offered Google Fi customers the same phone with less memory for just $99.99! To accept that price, you had to activate the phone with your Google Fi sim within 30 days and use the service on that phone for at least 120 days. I’m glad I did. The phone has one feature I didn’t know about before. It can use the a back camera and the front camera at the same time. Although the video quality drops a bit using that feature, it will make it possible for me to shoot videos more easily when I’m doing a video interview by myself. I’ll be in the corner of the video with the other person or gadgets filling the other 80% of the screen. In the photo, you’re looking at a few gadgets from Dick’s Gadget Warehouse Shelves I have here at Gizneyland. And me talking about them in the upper left corner of the screen. You’ll see a demo of that feature on this week’s show.

A Chad Halloween Extra!
Chad was disappointed when he went to his local target store and couldn’t find any of the more techie Hyde and EEK Halloween Gadgets! So he did a Target store web search and found one with better stock. He went there and bought the Hyde and EEK 10” Light and Sound Halloween Candy Bowl. This is a fun Halloween decorative prop with light and sound effects. It’s a black candy bowl with an orange jack-o’-lantern face and skeleton hands. It’s motion activated, light-up, and has animated features and plays music and has ‘scary’ voices. Chad liked this gadget a lot, and especially liked the fact you can use the motion feature, while turning off the sound when you don’t want it. Chad paid $30 at his local (big) Target store.

A Sound Investment
Recently I was editing a video about 2:30AM in my Gizneyland Studio using multiple monitors. Suddenly a YouTube video started playing on its own with the volume full up. Finding where it was playing in order to mute it, took a minute or so and I think the neighbors didn’t enjoy that. That’s when I decided I must have a speaker with a simple BIG volume up/down knob. The Tylubio PC Speaker fit the bill. The size is perfect because it’s designed to fit under most monitor stands. It has two 5W speakers and LED lights that can be steady or flashing, with a solid, or multiple colors. It connects via USB-C or Bluetooth 5.3 (connectivity with up to 50ft working range.) Dimensions are 5.7” x 2.7” x 2.5” (L x W x H. The is decent, especially for voice, but not amazing for music. I think that’s to be expected since it was under $21.

Chad’s Crappy Corner
It’s October and Chad’s Cheap Theme, voted on by our loyal Patreons, is Cheap Car Gadgets!
Chad’s fourth cheap car gadget is the Dealworthy Retractable Cable Car Charger.
It features a retractable cable and two stationery charging ports. The charger connects via the DC power port in most vehicles today. Chad liked this especially the retractable cable feature. You’ll see his demo on this week’s show. He paid for $14.99 at Target.

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse
Mo Torres has been digitizing hundreds of my old video spots from TV. On this week’s show we have one of the very ones I ever did. Mo said it’s one of his favorites and remarked that Chad, a huge Disneyland fan, would love it. This video is from 1982. Since it’s from a 40+ years old VHS tape, the video quality is not very good. The whole story on this week’s show, but briefly, the one show I was ever on here in New York was a local Metro Media cable show called Saturday Morning Live. My assignment – ‘test out the rides at Disneyland. The whole staff of the show flew down to Florida, not on a regular plane but on —– Mickey One – Disney’s own plane!
The photo is me, soaking wet, explaining that I got wet on the Jungle Attraction. The attendant asks: “Did the boat leak?” And I reply, “Boat? There’s a boat? I walked through the jungle waters!”

Hi Dicky De, I know that you and Chad have been following the progress of the Foldimate for years now but at this point it seems to be obsolete and is going to be replaced by an AI robot that can fold clothes and also do the dishes! LOL
