Show #1840 Thursday July 15th 2021 Independent Show 319
We start with the Personal-cooling-and-heating-System!
First some stuff about this product from the web: Keep yourself cool under the heat of the summer sun with the Cooling Bottle and warm under the cold of the winter. Designed for portability, this hand-held device fits in most cup holders and runs on battery. The fan draws in air, circulates it around the Ice and sends cool air out. Whether you use it at an outdoor sporting event, the beach or just in the comfort of your own home, this device is indispensable when the weather heats up! Vacuum insulated, stainless steel double walled-chamber seals out ambient air to keep ice longer. For Cool-air: Add 2 Cups Ice Cubes(Max.) For Warm-air: Add 2~4 Air Activated Warmers. Runs all day and night on just 3AA batteries (Not Included). Tube is included
OMG, if you haven’t watched this show yet, just watch my video. This was one of the most disappointing gadgets I ever used! I couldn’t even get the air stream from this device to move the end of a paper towel. And it’s so noisy. Take to the beach? You’ll need to bring a cooler full of ice cubes.

Now let’s look for it on the web!
It’s here for $119.99!! https://3pexperts.com/product/2-in-1-personal-cooling-and-heating-bottle/
It’s $34.99 on Until Gone: https://untilgone.com/products/2-in-1-personal-cooling-and-heating-bottle.html

This gadget could turn out to be the ‘apple’ of your eye. And your kitchen drawer.
If you love apples, but hate taking time to cut them into slices? Then you’ll like (or even love!) the Prepworks by Progressive 16-Slice Thin Apple Slicer & Corer.
The company says: Quickly & easily slice & core apples into 16 even slices! This dishwasher safe Thin Apple Slicer & Corer will core & slice an entire apple with a simple push.— Hmm, we had a different experience as you’ll see on this week’s show, but in the end we like this a lot. We also like the attached safety cover, which when used as a base, pushes the apple slices & the core clear of the blades. It’s designed to protect fingers while in use & cover the blades when stored, which a nice safety feature. I paid $9.99 and it was still that price as of 7/16/21.

And finally, he thought it was a good deal for under $15.00.

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse & How To Submit Your Video & Win An Autographed MAD Magazine.
Yes! Another 1st time gadget warehouse video submission! And it’s about really high tech gadget from the past. Here’s Paul’s email:
Hello Dick and Chad,
I have been a loyal viewer since the Twit Cottage days. I’m submitting my first warehouse video of a device that I just can’t throw away. It’s been in my drawer since 2007. I have been meaning to record this video for a long time, but I had to purchase a new charging cable so that I could give you a proper tour of the device.
Love the show, Paul — Hiawassee (Hi-a-wah-see), GA
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
We’d love to include your video in an upcoming Giz Wiz Show! Here’s what we’re looking for! Your home shot video – 2 to 3 minutes long, in any of the following categories:
I bought a piece of crap: Did you buy something you ended up hating? We won’t get you a refund, but we might be able to give a platform to vent your disappointment. Remember, “family friendly” language applies.
–
I invented this! Did you invent something? (Or did a friend or relative invent something.) We can’t market it for you, but we can help get the word out. Show us what it is, and how it works. Even if it’s a prototype, you can get our (and the audience) reactions. No professional ads please.
–
My Gadget Warehouse: Okay, so you don’t have a warehouse. It doesn’t matter. Just tell us about your favorite old gadget(s). When and where you bought it, and why you’re still hanging on to it.
–
My Favorite Gadget (favorite old, or favorite new): Show us what it is, tell us what it does and why you love, or loved it! It can be a new gadget you just bought too.
–
Post them on YouTube and send us the link! We’ll do the rest. (Or possibly nothing, but that’s unlikely.) Remember, videos should be just 2 to 3 minutes long! Low production value is fine, but we should be able to hear you and see you! If we select and show your video on The Giz Wiz you’ll earn a tiny amount of fame (hopefully). And if you live in the US, you’ll also get an autographed 38+ year old Alfred E. Neuman picture and a MAD surprise (most likely the current issue of MAD.) But no matter where you live outside of US, I can autograph an Alfred E. Neuman photo to you, scan it & email you a high res copy if we show your video. Just print it out, frame it, or just hang it up and no one will know it’s a copy. We’ve tested it out and fans say they look terrific! If you submitting warehouse videos for a second, third time, etc., you’ll get the current issue of MAD as a thank you.
All show submissions go to mail@gizwiz.tv

Subject: Bug Bite Thing
Rick Ankrum
(Giz Wiz: This is in response to us talking about fire ants on our last show.)
I thought fire ants bite, but I read they are in the wasp family and they really sting you. So this (The Bug Bite Thing) might help.
