On this week’s show we start with what is billed as “the fastest way to make coffee!”

It’s the Chefman InstaCoffee Single Serve Coffee Maker. Brews in 30 Seconds. Compatible with K-Cup Pods, Grounds & Loose-Leaf Tea w/Reusable Filter. While their copy says “Make fresh coffee in 30 seconds, I put a stopwatch to test it out. Well, in 30 seconds this coffee maker does start the brewing process, which is fast – but it takes 2 minutes, 15 seconds to brew a full Kcup. In additon to K-Cups® you can use your own freshly ground roast using the included filter. I like the compact design which takes up little counter space. It’s also designed to fit most 14 oz. travel mugs. I don’t know how this work, but the company says the InstaCoffee is equipped with a self-cleaning mode, making it easy to prevent and remove mineral build-up. The rubber drip tray is removable for easy cleaning between uses. All is all I like this device which sells for under $45.00.

Chad’s first cheap gadget to use with gadgets already own is the Spin Power by Bell+Howell. It’s described on Amazon as a “Surge Protector Electric Charging Station 4 Outlets 6 USB Ports with 45″ Retractable Cord Built-in Phone Holder As Seen On TV.” This ultimate smart charging station uses Rapid smart charging technology that can charge your mobile phone, smartphones, tablets, power tools and other devices in a flash. A surge suppressor can protect your electrical devices and appliances from getting destroyed due to voltage spikes. 360° Swivel design that allows the base to fully rotate and provide easy access to all of the outlets and USB ports. A built-in device shelf that can securely hold up to 3 devices such as phones or tablets while it charges. A 45″ cord that can easily reach any outlet and it’s retractable to prevent tangles and damage when not in use.

And Chad’s take? Chad says that in the TV commercial they show someone spinning the device freely. That actually can’t be done because as you spins the device it would wind up the AC cable. And with gadgets plugged in it would almost impossibe to ‘spin’ the Spin Power! Chad said their TV ad “Over-hyped” something else. 2.4V charging isn’t exactly ‘fast’. And of course Chad was disappointed that there was no USB-C charging port. Not a great buy, not quite a total disaster. Chad paid about $30 at his Home Depot store. It’s also on Amazon for about the same price. Chad mentioned that on Amazon it got fairly good reviews.

Yes, I demonstrate how an old AOC USB monitor saved the day by being able to replace the failing screen of a big laptop computer. It’s 11 years old, but when plugged in, worked perfectly. (Well, after thinking about it for about 45 seconds.) Here’s a bit of info from the original March 2012 post: I connected one end of the included USB cable into the built-in USB port on the monitor and the other end into my computer. The single USB cable receives both power and signal for a true plug-and-play connection. And after a few minutes my AOC monitor came to life. I took one program from my main screen and using the “extend right” software control, slid it over the new screen. I just about doubled my screen space! The monitor offers impressive image quality with a 1366 x 786 resolution. The actual screen size is 15.6” viewable image size, diagonal. The hardware is enabled by DisplayLink’s DL-125 chip. (AOC still makes a wide variety of USB monitors, including a new USB-C plug & play model.

From: Dell Neal – A little update on the pazazz pizza oven

Hey good day Chad and Dickie D, yeah I’m just addressing what Chad said last week I think he might believe it’s a bigger unit than it is, it is slightly bigger than a toaster without the pizza tray on it.. And it can handle pizzas up to 12 inches.. And right now my favorite thing to make on it is quesadillas, it does an excellent job at melting the cheese & getting the crust nice and crusty, I just really enjoy this this is one of my favorite products I have purchased and I see why it gets almost a five star on Amazon..
