Spray Misty For Me!
It’s the Honhey Misting Pocket Fan, which can be used a handheld fan, a desk fan & a misting fan. It has 3 adjustable speeds provides 20 hours at low speed, 13 hours at medium speed and 6 hours for high speed according to Honhey. A long press of the power switch turns on the misting function. Then turn the fan on at the same time and the mister it will spray intermittently to extend the misting time. With a build-in 15ml water tank, it can be used for 1-1.5 hours when filled with water. You can connect the provided micro USB-cable to a powerbank, computer, laptop, etc. for continuous operation. The company says it takes 1.5 hours to fully charge the 1500 mAh battery. Fan blades are made of a special soft material, so if you accidentally touch them, they will automatically stop. This will be great carry device for the on-coming hot weather. The kit includes the Portable Handheld fan, Micro-Charging cable, Water bottle(15ml), Lanyard and User manual. On Amazon I paid under $15.00 on 6/4/22

The Giz Wiz Buys A Solar Powered Umbrella.
This seemed like a good idea. A patio umbrella with 32 LED solar lights which the company says lasting for 9-12 hours. And it has an ON and OFF switch, so you don’t use the power stored in the battery until you want it. The Amazon copy says: “Solar panel on top powered by rechargeable battery.” Isn’t it the other way around, the sun powers the rechargeable battery? Either way, no electricity or power cord needed for the lights. ⛱️Heavy-duty Aluminum Pole & 8 Fe-Ribs, whatever they are. Waterproof and breathable fabric. You can have shade by tilting the umbrella along with the sun. (I think it’s easier to tilt the umbrella than the sun, though.) It’s really easy to assemble as you see in the video. I bought the 7.5 foot umbrella in forest green. They have about a dozen color choices, and the company also has a 9′ and 11′ umbrella. But remember, BASE NOT INCLUDED, which adds about $50 to the price.

Chad’s Crappy Corner and his ‘cheap gadget’ theme for June.
This is more than a water blaster. It also has a rainbow fidget pop/push device on the back of the pack. More info from the company: The long shooting distance protects you from opponents. The tank has large water capacity that allows kids to enjoy a long period of time. The best water spray bath toy for boys, girls and baby shower time. The pop push it bag offer you a rainbow fidget toy pack, which is an anti-stress present for girlfriends or boyfriends or colleagues, will reduce anxiety, relieve the tension, decompress your mind from stressful work. For the coming pride parade, the rainbow pop push it backpack shows LGBT culture recognition and diversity of the world. The product is made of non-toxic, eco-friendly, safe and BPA free sillicon, will cause no harm to humans and pets.
And Chad’s take? Chad liked this fun gadgets and so did many of us. He did note that in order to play with the rainbow pop/push fidget toy you really have to take it off the backpack, which is very easy to do. He also pointed out it’s not a super soaker type, but more a gentle squirt gun which is fine to help keep cooler in the hot weather. It was decently priced too. Chad paid about $16.00 on Amazon.

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse & How To Submit Your Video To Win An Autographed Copy of MAD Magazine.
Hi Dick & Chad:
This video has four different items. The thermos have the name “Zojirushi” on them that I’m not sure how to pronounce.
And I forgot to mention that the cup in the video is by Camelbak.

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse & How To Submit Your Video To Win An Autographed Copy of MAD Magazine.
We’d love to include your video in an upcoming Giz Wiz Show! Here’s what we’re looking for! Your home shot video – 2 to 3 minutes long, in any of the following categories:
I bought a piece of crap: Did you buy something you ended up hating? We won’t get you a refund, but we might be able to give a platform to vent your disappointment. Remember, “family friendly” language applies.
–
I invented this! Did you invent something? (Or did a friend or relative invent something.) We can’t market it for you, but we can help get the word out. Show us what it is, and how it works. Even if it’s a prototype, you can get our (and the audience) reactions. No professional ads please.
–
My Gadget Warehouse: Okay, so you don’t have a warehouse. It doesn’t matter. Just tell us about your favorite old gadget(s). When and where you bought it, and why you’re still hanging on to it.
–
My Favorite Gadget (favorite old, or favorite new): Show us what it is, tell us what it does and why you love, or loved it! It can be a new gadget you just bought too.
–
Post them on YouTube and send us the link! We’ll do the rest. (Or possibly nothing, but that’s unlikely.) Remember, videos should be just 2 to 3 minutes long! Low production value is fine, but we should be able to hear you and see you! If we select and show your video on The Giz Wiz you’ll earn a tiny amount of fame (hopefully). And if you live in the US, you’ll also get an autographed 38+ year old Alfred E. Neuman picture and a MAD surprise (most likely the current issue of MAD.) But no matter where you live outside of US, I can autograph an Alfred E. Neuman photo to you, scan it & email you a high res copy if we show your video. Just print it out, frame it, or just hang it up and no one will know it’s a copy. We’ve tested it out and fans say they look terrific! If you submitting warehouse videos for a second, third time, etc., you’ll get the current issue of MAD as a thank you.
All show submissions go to mail@gizwiz.tv

Email of the week!
Our email of the week is from Michael Prine. He is referring to our talk about antifreeze on a recent Giz Wiz Show. He writes:
Hi Dick & Chad:
There are two main types of antifreeze. One uses propylene glycol which in non toxic for people and pets. It is probably even listed as an ingredient in your favorite soda.
The other is ethylene glycol which is toxic to both people and pets but is cheaper so it is typically used in antifreeze for your car. Both taste sweet but don’t try it with the ethylene glycol.
