AMAZING!! We’re now in year 17 of The Giz Wiz Show!
(The first Giz Wiz Show – called The Daily Giz Wiz back then – was February 20th 2006!) If it wasn’t for our loyal supporters, the Giz Wiz Show would be gone. If you’d like to support OMGchad & DickDe in our independent venture (we pay for everything ourselves, including travel) just click the Patreon link at the top of our show web page: http://www.gizwiz.tv
This week three final great gadgets, including 3 gadgets not available yet, all from The New Products Holiday Gift Show. This was a Press Event all about gifts ideas for the holidays (And other days of the year too!)
It’s Bananas!
The Monkey Game for Kids, Teens, and Tipsy Adults (According to the company! Here’s more from them:)
Bananas is the smash-hit party game that will have your friends and family howling from the moment you strap on a monkey tail to your last squat. Split into two teams, warm up those thighs, and whoever collects the most bananas wins! Easy … or is it? Bananas have gone viral on TikTok multiple times, with over 50 MILLION views! Gameplay is super easy to follow (perfect for monkeys with short attention spans) but hard to master, making it the perfect addition to your card and board game collection. As you’ll see on this week’s show, it is a pretty funny game to play and watch. $21.44 as of 8/18/22 — In the photo — that’s a ‘monkey tail’ hanging down.

One part strategy, another part dexterity, Fire In The Hole is suitable for young landlubbers all the way up to the saltiest of ol’ seadogs. It’s rowdy enough for a fun family game night, but has enough twists ‘n tricks fer even the sneakiest o’ scallywags!
2+ PLAYERS AGES 7+ 20 MIN GAME $34.99 Available September 17th.

Fix Holiday String Lights Easily, Even If They’re LED!
The Ulta Lit Light Keeper PRO 01201 is said to be “The Complete Tool for Fixing Miniature Light Sets.” Watch the demo by the guy who invented it. He does it on this week’s show. Their website says that mini-incandescent holiday bulbs only last up to 2,000 hours. Depending on use, a light set’s bulbs can be used to their full capacity in one season. To give your light set the best chance of lasting, be sure to change any burned out (unlit) bulbs within lit sections immediately. The regular version for incandescent holiday lights in $24.99 on Amazon. There’s also a version for LED holiday lights, in the photo, which is $29.99.

Wow! The Giz Wiz Finds ‘Five Below’ at a Press Event!
Chad & I love Five Below. We’ve both bought a lot of stuff there for ourselves and for the show. The 3 gadgets you’ll see on this week’s show aren’t in stores yet. They are holiday items that are expected to be available probably starting in October. There’s an LED keyboard from their Bugha Gaming line that I tried and like a lot. The key travel is deep which Chad said gamers like. The USB powered LED keyboard is always lit when powered by the computer. There is no way to shut or vary the lighting. I think it’s good looking and it’s going to be one of their Five Beyond items, selling most likely for $10. A way low price for an LED gaming keyboard. There will be a matching LED mouse, also $10. And finally there’s a giant plush USB ENTER KEY, which really works, but it more of a novelty item unless you really wish you had a giant plush enter key! That too should be $10. Stores or their website, most likely starting October, 2022.

Chad’s Crappy Corner and Gadget 3 of his August Cheap Gadget Theme.
And Chad’s 3rd “as seen on TV” gadget is Alientape Nano Double Sided Tape. From Amazon: Double-sided acrylic tape with nano tech is ideal for mounting purposes. High adhesion capacity allows mounting on metal, plastic, aluminum, or glasses surfaces. Does not require curing or drying stage, just press the item against the surface with tape in between for instantaneous mounting. Alien tape can be reused multiple times, and it should work just as effectively the seventh time as it did the first. Just rinse it off in the sink and let it dry before applying it to a new surface. has a thickness of 2.0 mm, width of 3.0 cm, length is 7 feet and it’s durable enough to withstand the pressure of up to 17.5 pounds of weight without ripping or otherwise refraining from doing its job. $12.75 as of 8/18/22
And Chad’s take? Chad found this interesting at first. It’s just the tape in a bag and no instructions of any kind. As you’ll see in the video Chad glues a cup to a plate and it seems to hold just fine. BUT, reusable? Chad could get the tape off one of expensive plates because it kept falling apart. Final decision? Well, I believe it was the 1st time it went right into the trash on the show!

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse & How To Submit Your Video To Win An Autographed Copy of MAD Magazine.
Hi Dick: Here’s my first viewer video created without any help from Chad. Camera credit goes to OMGDad for this video. My apologies to Chad for infringing on his Crappy Corner by showing off this gadget of this quality.

Maybe this gadget would be more helpful with other herbs like rosemary but I wouldn’t bet on it. Not surprising that the GiWuh Vegetable Leaf Remover that I purchased is no longer available on Amazon. But, many other branded versions remain. I don’t understand how this has earned a 4.6 rating. On this version, it does mentions that you can “use it as a knife for cut vegetables, fruit, etc.” I haven’t tried this but I can’t imagine that it would work better than a knife and I would expect that you need to restrict cutting to soft items like avocados or bananas. I think this is headed next to the donation box.

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse & How To Submit Your Video To Win An Autographed Copy of MAD Magazine.
We’d love to include your video in an upcoming Giz Wiz Show! Here’s what we’re looking for! Your home shot video – 2 to 3 minutes long, in any of the following categories:
I bought a piece of crap: Did you buy something you ended up hating? We won’t get you a refund, but we might be able to give a platform to vent your disappointment. Remember, “family friendly” language applies.
–
I invented this! Did you invent something? (Or did a friend or relative invent something.) We can’t market it for you, but we can help get the word out. Show us what it is, and how it works. Even if it’s a prototype, you can get our (and the audience) reactions. No professional ads please.
–
My Gadget Warehouse: Okay, so you don’t have a warehouse. It doesn’t matter. Just tell us about your favorite old gadget(s). When and where you bought it, and why you’re still hanging on to it.
–
My Favorite Gadget (favorite old, or favorite new): Show us what it is, tell us what it does and why you love, or loved it! It can be a new gadget you just bought too.
–
Post them on YouTube and send us the link! We’ll do the rest. (Or possibly nothing, but that’s unlikely.) Remember, videos should be just 2 to 3 minutes long! Low production value is fine, but we should be able to hear you and see you! If we select and show your video on The Giz Wiz you’ll earn a tiny amount of fame (hopefully). And if you live in the US, you’ll also get an autographed 38+ year old Alfred E. Neuman picture and a MAD surprise (most likely the current issue of MAD.) But no matter where you live outside of US, I can autograph an Alfred E. Neuman photo to you, scan it & email you a high res copy if we show your video. Just print it out, frame it, or just hang it up and no one will know it’s a copy. We’ve tested it out and fans say they look terrific! If you submitting warehouse videos for a second, third time, etc., you’ll get the current issue of MAD as a thank you.
