A Smaller LED Gaming Keyboard That Be Powered 3 Ways!

It also comes with a power switch and 10 min sleep mode for power saving. You can charge it in a few hours with the attached USB-C cable. It does take a bit of getting used to since several features require holding the function key and a 2^nd key, like to use the up/down/right/left arrows or the delete key. But so far I love the feel of the keyboard and the extra space on my desk slide-out shelf. It was under $40 on 11/2/22.

Pizza Cutter Scissor with Spatula.

When I first saw this at Staples I thought what a stupid device. Then I thought, maybe it works. The only way to find out was to buy one, make a pizza and do a video for the Giz Wiz Show. 1^st a bit of info from Amazon which also sells the Pizza Scissors. They say: “Unique Design with a removable spatula attached to the cutter. Makes serving and moving hot pizza easy. Easy to clean and store in your drawer. Made of Stainless Steel – BPA Free and dishwasher safe.” Does it work. Watch this week’s show and you can judge for yourself. MSRP: $9.99.

The Aililan LED Pet Collar Light is a great way for you and your pet to be seen when walking at night. Here in Riverside Park people are on bikes, skates, scooters, electric skate board, even electric motorcycles, although supposedly banned from use in the park. It’s a four way light. There’s a brigh150 Lumen white light, a dim white light, a flashing red light and a color changing (disco-like) light. There’s a four-way switch on one side and a USB-C charging port on the other side, both covered with a rubber boot. It comes with a USB-C cable to charge the built-in 600 mAh battery. In the reviews some folks complained the LED light fat, but it also has a locking compartment for an Apple Airtag. I don’t use Airtags, but it seems like a great way to keep track of your dog if you’re an Apple person. The company says the device can be charged in 1-1.5 hours and the battery life is from 7-21 hours depending on what lights you’re using. It’s also said to be IP68 waterproof which is great protection for the Apple Airtag. Inexpensive too. I bought the two pack for $15.99, so just about $8 each.

Chad’s Crappy Corner and his new theme for November as picked by our loyal Patreon friends is Cheap Thrift Store Gadgets!

And Chad’s 1^st Thrift Store gadget is: the Computer Mouse Station. What is it? Well, it a large plastic box with a built-in accessory tray for pens, pencils, post-it note pads, etc. This device also has a mouse pad on top and a very strange padded wrist roller. Chad paid $5 for his, but after you this show you most likely won’t want one. But if you do, search the web. I found a Vintage Computer Mouse Station for about $16.00 on ebay. I believe Chad paid $5 for his and it was brand new!

And Chad’s take? Maybe you shouldn’t bother searching ebay for one of these because Chad thought it was pretty useless. The rolling wrist device is at a weird angle and if you want to want the storage compartment you have to remove the mouse and be wary that the mouse cable will pop out its track. Those are a couple of the reasons this device didn’t become popular. No one in chatroom remembers even seeing one of those before.

We’d love to include your video in an upcoming Giz Wiz Show! Here’s what we’re looking for! Your home shot video – 2 to 3 minutes long, in any of the following categories:
I bought a piece of crap: Did you buy something you ended up hating? We won’t get you a refund, but we might be able to give a platform to vent your disappointment. Remember, “family friendly” language applies.

I invented this! Did you invent something? (Or did a friend or relative invent something.) We can’t market it for you, but we can help get the word out. Show us what it is, and how it works. Even if it’s a prototype, you can get our (and the audience) reactions. No professional ads please.

My Gadget Warehouse: Okay, so you don’t have a warehouse. It doesn’t matter. Just tell us about your favorite old gadget(s). When and where you bought it, and why you’re still hanging on to it.

And if you live in the US, you’ll also get an autographed 38+ year old Alfred E. Neuman picture and a MAD surprise (most likely the current issue of MAD.) But no matter where you live outside of US, I can autograph an Alfred E. Neuman photo to you, scan it & email you a high res copy if we show your video. Just print it out, frame it, or just hang it up and no one will know it’s a copy. We’ve tested it out and fans say they look terrific! If you submitting warehouse videos for a second, third time, etc., you’ll get the current issue of MAD as a thank you.
