A Chad Extra!
Chad found another disco light! I’ve bought every one of them that he showed on the Giz Wiz and when I first saw these I thought, “Oh, I already have a couple of disco lights like that.” Then Chad explained that the ones he bought now where the Luditek [2-Pack] Portable Sound Activated Party Lights. They’re sound-activated mode + battery operated, or powered by 5V USB. And they come with two remote controls. The disco ball light is mixed with multicolor.(red, green, blue, red/green, red/blue, green/blue, and all the colors together). Well, before Chad finished his demo which you’ll see on this week’s show, I had ordered a pair. They’re great! Since you can powered them via 3 AA batteries it’s easy to use them any place, even bring them to a party. And Amazon adds: You can put this led stage lighting on your desk, or use suction cup to hold it on the wall or ceiling. But, I have have had no luck unscrewing the bottom cap to get to the suction cut. Don’t matter, they’re probably safely on their adjustable stands. They were under $20 as of 11/18/22.

Another Kind of Sunset Project Light! This One Has Remote Control & A Smartphone App!
Last week I one of my gadgets what the Five Below $5.55 Sunset Projection Lamp. I love it because the sunlight color it projects helps me feel it’s not getting dark that quickly now that daylight savings time has ended for most people. Then I thought I’d check Amazon to see what sort of projection lamps they had. I found the 16 Color Sunset Lamp with Remote & Smartphone App. Wow, listen to this Amazon description: Sunset lamp projector has 16 light effects and 4 adjust modes(Flash/Strobe/Fade/Smooth) to choose from. You can change the light effect and adjust the brightness in the mobile App, it can also dance to the lights! Well, I had to buy one and I did. You see the video of it in operation on this week’s show. It was under $17.00 when I bought mine.

Chad’s Crappy Corner!
Chad’s Crappy Corner and his new theme for November as picked by our loyal Patreon friends is Cheap Thrift Store Gadgets.
Chad’s 3rd Thrift Store gadget is a do-it-yourself Monster Popsicle maker kit! Chad paid $4.96 for it at his local Goodwill store. You’ll see Chad try a couple of different ways to make Popsicles with this kit. He wasn’t crazy about how either one of them tasted, but they looked good! Since Chad bought his set at a thrift store he couldn’t find that exact set still on sale online. The company that makes it is Joie, but they don’t have it on their website either. Chad found some kits on ebay, but he thought they were expensive at $25 to $30. I found a different set called Tovolo Monsters Ice Pop Kit on Amazon. It says: Flexible Silicone Molds, 4 Monster Popsicle Characters, Dishwasher Safe – Set of 4, under $16 as of 11/19/22. That seems interesting, but if you go to that Amazon link you can find another choice from that company: Zombie Pops! Either kit (and there are others there too) were $16, and also they’re brand new!

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse!
This week’s viewer video is quite unique.
It started with a very short email with just a link to a YouTube video. I don’t click on links if they don’t come with some sort of explanation, so I emailed Gregory and asked what the video was? He said it was a video for Dick’s Gadget Warehouse.
I watched the video and found that Gregory Ackerman invented a tech gadget. Not only did he invent it, he produced it, had packaging made, and then sent working product to various tech websites. And it got reviewed.
Then what happened? Be sure to watch this week’s show to find out!

How To Submit Your Video For The Gadget Warehouse & Win An Autographed Copy of MAD Magazine.
We’d love to include your video in an upcoming Giz Wiz Show! Here’s what we’re looking for! Your home shot video – 2 to 3 minutes long, in any of the following categories:
I bought a piece of crap: Did you buy something you ended up hating? We won’t get you a refund, but we might be able to give a platform to vent your disappointment. Remember, “family friendly” language applies.
–
I invented this! Did you invent something? (Or did a friend or relative invent something.) We can’t market it for you, but we can help get the word out. Show us what it is, and how it works. Even if it’s a prototype, you can get our (and the audience) reactions. No professional ads please.
–
My Gadget Warehouse: Okay, so you don’t have a warehouse. It doesn’t matter. Just tell us about your favorite old gadget(s). When and where you bought it, and why you’re still hanging on to it.
–
My Favorite Gadget (favorite old, or favorite new): Show us what it is, tell us what it does and why you love, or loved it! It can be a new gadget you just bought too.
–
Post them on YouTube and send us the link! We’ll do the rest. (Or possibly nothing, but that’s unlikely.) Remember, videos should be just 2 to 3 minutes long! Low production value is fine, but we should be able to hear you and see you! If we select and show your video on The Giz Wiz you’ll earn a tiny amount of fame (hopefully). And if you live in the US, you’ll also get an autographed 38+ year old Alfred E. Neuman picture and a MAD surprise (most likely the current issue of MAD.) But no matter where you live outside of US, I can autograph an Alfred E. Neuman photo to you, scan it & email you a high res copy if we show your video. Just print it out, frame it, or just hang it up and no one will know it’s a copy. We’ve tested it out and fans say they look terrific! If you submitting warehouse videos for a second, third time, etc., you’ll get the current issue of MAD as a thank you.
All show submissions go to mail@gizwiz.tv

Email of the week.
Our email of the week is once again from Mo Torres our most loyal and frequent contributor.
Mo send us a link to what seems to me a bizarre gadget. Not only that, I, Chad and the chat room thought the price will be a deterrent to all but the fairly wealthy. Take a look at their Kickstarter video on this week’s show.
Mo emails us:
Would you Dick or Chad wear this?
PS: Do you think they would let me use this in the NYC marathon? (No, Mo, forbidden, also explained a bit on this week’s show.)
