Wow, Folks Love The Inventive Fireplace/Humidifiers!
People are loving these Faux Mini Fireplace/Humidifiers. I did one last week with a built in clock, but this one is bit smaller without a clock or remote control. I love this very unique gift and have gifted two of them.) The combination of LED lights and humidifier mist produces a wonderful faux flame effect. The water tank capacity of 240 ml can work continuously for more than 18 hours according to the company and you can use it for aroma therapy with a few drops of your favorite essential oil. You can set it to go off after 2 or 4 hours timer with buttons on the front of the machine – or let the water run out and the flame diffuser/humidifier will automatically stop. I find this very relaxing to look at. If you find the illuminated logo on the front of the machine too bright, just face that toward the wall. I paid $22.99 on Amazon. (I bought three. Yes, I like these a lot.)

The 2 in 1 Ocean Wave Projector. A Fast & Inexpensive Way To Decorate The Outside of Your House For Many Different Holidays!
This LED projector is equipped with 2 heads for 10 RGBW color. There’s a water wave ripple effect and a 14 winter-holiday themed slide patterns image projection. You can use the ocean wave mode or slide patterns mode individually or together. According to the company, with the waterproof power cable and IP44 lamp body, the LED projector light is weather-resistant for outdoor use. It ships with two ways to install it – a long stake to stick in the ground or place it on a table or mount it on the wall with the included screws. The one I’m recommending looks like the one in the video that I bought, but is a similar one that has 14 Interchangeable slides with classic elements for most holidays and occasions: Thanksgiving Day – turkey, Indian; Party – champagne, balloon, slogan; Birthday – cake, gift box, slogan; Christmas – Santa Claus, deer, Christmas tree, snowman, snowflake; Halloween – ghost, skull, pumpkin lamp; New Year – fireworks, slogan; Independent Day – star and stripes elements. It comes with a wireless remote control to adjust lights color, moving speed, flash speed and timer setting (Automatically turn off after 2/4/6 hours). Remote range up to 40 ft. I bought the Holiday Themed one in the video on this week’s sow, but I have not used this one yet. I have it on order from Amazon will do a video once it arrives, hopefully for next week’s show. I paid about $26.00 on 12/8/22

Dick, Is There A Tool Kit That’s Shaped Like A Snowflake?
Yes! Glad you asked. And it’s a great stocking stuffer. The 18 In 1 snowflake multi-tool is fairly small and according to the company, it’s made of stainless steel. It has a slotted screwdriver, phillips head screwdriver, many allen/hex wrench sizes and many nut tightening sizes, plus of course, a bottle opener. The multi-tool kit includes 2 snowflake tool (black and silver) and is packaged with 2 key rings and 2 carabiners. It seems a bit big to me to be used on or as a key ring, but the company lists that as a use. It weighs 3 ounces according my postal scale. It can be hung on your backpack, or a hook in the kitchen, workshop, etc. A pack of 2 in a little gift box was about $14 on Amazon as of 12/9/22. You can also buy a single one which comes with a small carrying case. Links below.

Chad’s Crappy Corner and his new theme for December!
Our loyal Patreon members have voted and for Chad’s December ‘Cheap Gadget’ theme they picked “Handyman Gadgets”.
Chad’s 2nd handyman gadget is The Stud Buddy. Here’s what Amazon says about it. It’s the world’s simplest stud finder. Works with all drywall construction. Drywall is hung to wood or metal studs using screws or nails. The StudBuddy utilizes super-strong neodymium magnets to detect those screw/nail heads as you run the stud finder across your wall. When a screw or nail head is detected, The StudBuddy “sticks” to the wall, pointing you to the exact location of these studs.
And Chad’s take: Chad ‘sort of liked’ this. It’s a bare-bones device and Chad said it would almost be better to use it in conjunction with a more sophisticated stud finder you might already own. You’ll see Chad’s complete demo and hear all his comments on this week’s show. Stud Buddy is about $10 and it’s at Home Depot, Target, Amazon and other places too. It’s sold in pairs for about $18.

How To Submit Your Video For The Gadget Warehouse & Win An Autographed Copy of MAD Magazine.
We’d love to include your video in an upcoming Giz Wiz Show! Here’s what we’re looking for! Your home shot video – 2 to 3 minutes long, in any of the following categories:
I bought a piece of crap: Did you buy something you ended up hating? We won’t get you a refund, but we might be able to give a platform to vent your disappointment. Remember, “family friendly” language applies.
–
I invented this! Did you invent something? (Or did a friend or relative invent something.) We can’t market it for you, but we can help get the word out. Show us what it is, and how it works. Even if it’s a prototype, you can get our (and the audience) reactions. No professional ads please.
–
My Gadget Warehouse: Okay, so you don’t have a warehouse. It doesn’t matter. Just tell us about your favorite old gadget(s). When and where you bought it, and why you’re still hanging on to it.
–
My Favorite Gadget (favorite old, or favorite new): Show us what it is, tell us what it does and why you love, or loved it! It can be a new gadget you just bought too.
–
Post them on YouTube and send us the link! We’ll do the rest. (Or possibly nothing, but that’s unlikely.) Remember, videos should be just 2 to 3 minutes long! Low production value is fine, but we should be able to hear you and see you! If we select and show your video on The Giz Wiz you’ll earn a tiny amount of fame (hopefully). And if you live in the US, you’ll also get an autographed 38+ year old Alfred E. Neuman picture and a MAD surprise (most likely the current issue of MAD.) But no matter where you live outside of US, I can autograph an Alfred E. Neuman photo to you, scan it & email you a high res copy if we show your video. Just print it out, frame it, or just hang it up and no one will know it’s a copy. We’ve tested it out and fans say they look terrific! If you submitting warehouse videos for a second, third time, etc., you’ll get the current issue of MAD as a thank you.
All show submissions go to mail@gizwiz.tv
