With traditional hear aids often selling for thousands of dollar, there’s a growing market for less expensive OTC Hearing Aid. These Over The Counter hearing aids are far less expensive, but are often recommend only people with low to mild hearing loss. (Note: These comments are my personal results, and thoughts. I have zero background in the area of hearing loss.) There are hearing tests in a lot of the OTC hearing aid apps, but you would need a professional audiologist test if you feel you have a pronounced hearing problem.
On this week’s show, you’ll see my experiences with the very low priced JLab Hear earbuds, which sell for $99.99. And I also have limited experience with the ELEHEAR Beyond in-ear earbuds. (Both supplied as product sample by the companies at two different trade shows. Neither company has seen my OTC hearing aid video, or this report, to my knowledge.)
