It’s been really cold in New York City this December. We had 5 days where the temperature never went above freezing. I love those little packs of hand warmers you open, shake, and then put in your gloves. They give off heat for many hours, advertised as 8, 10, 11 and even 15 hours. But I find that the little hand heat packages start to crinkle inside the gloves as you move around and do things outdoors. I wondered if someone made gloves with a place to hold those little heat packs and I found the HotHands Glove Warmers. They’re sold by the same company that makes the HotHands mini packs, and they’readvertised as “Stretchy and Comfortable with Built in Pockets for HotHands Hand Warmers. One package of the hand warmers is included with the glove warmers. As you’ll see in the video on this week’s show, they’re more complicated to use then I expected. I paid $11.99 on Amazon for a pair of the glove warmers mid-December 2025. UPDATE: On 12/27/25 the price was $10.25, but that can change at any time.
