As you may know, Mo Torres is doing an inedible massive undertaking for me. He is digitizing more than 100 video tapes of me on various shows of the past showing “the latest” (back then!) gadgets. This week, it’s a video of me from CNBC’s Steals & Deals, which I did a weekly gadget spot for about 5 years. In the video I’m in my real MAD offices showing my favorite gadgets for 1992! Yep, gadgets from 33 years ago! Some of them are laughable by today’s standards, but still great fun to see how far we’ve come in the gadget world! Still, one of my favorites today, is The Locomotive Telephone shown in the photo. (It’s still on display here at Gizneyland, but not in use. You’ll see a demo of it though on this week’s show.)

Email of the week: From Mo Torres
I received an email from You Tube about a month or so ago, about subtitles in different languages being rolled out on my videos, & the some or all were going to have this feature. YouTube said that my videos were going to be scrubbed / scanned so that YouTube could provide subtitles to some or all my videos on my channel. I just was looking over this video of you, & realized that not only the subtitles are in different languages, but they also did dubbing in 9 different languages. So you could play it back in German, Spanish or Japanese, & a few other languages. So cool to hear you speaking Japanese. Mo.
From the Gizx Wiz. Check it out: https://youtu.be/WrWIi2nRl9Y (The chatroom says I’m talking German in the video, but it seems you can have me talk in 7 different languages! You’ll see Chad’s demo on this week’s show. But, strangely, English is not an option!
