We did one or two of these flashlights in the past, but this one seems much better built and much smaller. But you may ask, How Does a Water Powered Battery Work? To activate the Hydracell battery, dip it in water for 15 seconds, shake off any excess water, and install it in the shock resistant aluminum flashlight body. Now, Chad points out that once activated, the battery stays working even if you don’t use the flashlight!! What’s a bit different about this model is that the company says you can dip it up to ten times before the Hydracell battery is spent. I did dip a 2nd time a few days after I 1st used it and the flashlight did work, but it seemed to be a bit less bright. The great thing is that this is perfect for an emergency kit. Because unused, it has a 25 year shelf life! I bought mine on the Pulse TV website. On 6/28/24 they were $9.99 each or two for $15.99. I bought the 2-pack.
