I had an old Lenovo tower hooked up to my newer Legion computer, to get older files and photos. But I found I needed it less and less. Since I wanted to give the computer away (to Mo, Giz Wiz most loyal fan, for a project he was working on), I found a great way to simple take out the hard drive and hook it directly to my newer Legion PC. It’s the SABRENT USB 3.0 to SATA External Hard Drive Docking Station. It supports all 2.5 and 3.5-inch SATA drives. The company says to make sure you have the latest firmware installed for this dock to work with larger capacities. Firmware updates can be downloaded on their website. I didn’t need to install any new software. My WD 1 TB drive connected quickly and I can view all my files and photos. It was about $25.00 when I bought mine on Amazon.
