Chad’s New Cheap Gadget Theme for October, as voted on by our loyal Patreons is “Cheap Gadgets From Ikea !”
Chad’s second Cheap Ikea gadget is the KÖLVATTEN LED Light with sensor.
This is an easy way to add ‘auto-on’ LED lighting to cabinets, closets, drawers, etc. The LED lights come in 3 sizes, 12”, 19 5/8” and 27 ½”. Strangely the cheapest of the three at $14.99 is the longest version. Chad bought the middle size for $20.00. They’re meant to be used with rechargeable batteries, which are not included. The lighting was a soft light and you’ll in Chad’s demo that the light comes on as soon as it senses motion. From the Ikea website: Rechargeable batteries are sold separately. The charging function of this product only works with rechargeable batteries. IKEA recommends LADDA 2450 mAh HR06 AA 1.2V. 4 pcs are required. USB-C cable and USB charger are sold separately.
