When I saw the listing for the Gritin 19 LED Rechargeable Book Light, I had to buy one.

I didn’t need it for reading a book, but I thought it would make a great mini-task light. It features 3 lighting modes, Amber light (1800K), Mixed light (3400K), and White light (6000K). It had 5 step dimming, or you could long press the button for stepless dimming from 10% to 100%. It has a 1200 mAh high-capacity battery, and a large sturdy spring clip to attach it almost anywhere. It also has 4 LED indicators to show the power level. And it had a knock-out low price: $9.99. I bought two of them.

Wait, There’s More!! New, New, New!

Then, when checking the price has I making notes for this show, I saw the sometimes dreaded: “there is a newer version of this device”. It’s the Gritin 2026 Gen 2 version with 30 LEDs, a bigger battery, a choice of wide or narrow lighting and most amazing of all — still only $9.99. I bought three of them.

Then I found an $8.00 Gen 2.0 version as of 9/18/26! https://amzn.to/46wUPiW (Although this version seems to have the same features, the lamp head seems to be vertical rather than horizontal. Check the photos on Amazon before you order to see which you like better.)

And the $9.99 Gen 2.0 version: https://amzn.to/4rm29aD

Here’s a link to the first model I bought. It was still the price of the later model, $9.99
