Our email this week is from Patrick & his daughter Scarlet. They have a video of one of our favorite things. Tech of the past! Patrick writes:
Hi Dick! Long time watcher/listener, first time videographer.
My daughter Scarlet and I have a gadget warehouse gadget for the show, the PXL 2000 from Fisher Price. This was a kids camcorder from 1987 that used audio cassette tapes to record audio and video.
I also wanted to thank you for the years of entertainment thru the Giz Wiz and Mad magazine. I’ve been a fan of the Giz Wiz show since it was daily, you even read one of my letter about the Cruising Cooler. Of course I am patreon member too.
I’m also a huge Mad fan and cherish the issue that you signed for me, thank you!

We’d love to include your video in an upcoming Giz Wiz Show!

2. Videos should be just 2 to 3 minutes long in Horizontal Format! Low production value is fine, but we need to hear you and see your gadget clearly! You can be in the video if you like.
3. Post your Video on YouTube and click ‘unlisted’ when you upload it if you want, but not “Private” or we won’t be able to see it. Send us the URL link from YouTube.
4. If we show your video (and we show 99% of them) and live in the US or Canada you’ll also get an autographed current issue of MAD.) But no matter where you live outside of the US & Canada, I’ll autograph an Alfred E. Neuman photo to you, scan it & email you a high res image. Just print it out, frame it, or just hang it up and no one will know it’s a copy. We’ve tested it out and fans say they look terrific!

Email of the week:
Mo, emails us:
Sharing an ODD find:
Happened to be passing by a store, in queens, on Broadway & 41 street, & came upon this. No sales person available, a mechanic, who did not speak English well, was able to communicate to me that the item was for sale, it cost 8K dollars, & that it was / is considered an e-bike. What do you think? Would you guys ever get one?

From the Giz Wiz: It looks like you can buy it here for about $3000 on Aliexpress, but I have no idea how much it would cost to ship it! Also Chad & I and most folks in chat think you’ll never get away with using it on roads and claiming it’s “just a bicycle”.
