Chad’s Crappy Corner and his new theme for March as picked by our loyal Patreon friends is Spring Gadgets For The Yard.

Chad’s 2nd Spring Gadget is the DynaShield DS1000-MSSR Outdoor Mosquito Deterrent Device and the PIC Mosquito Repelling Coils.

Warm weather is on the way. And brings things that bloom and mosquitoes that annoy! Chad has two solutions in his Crappy Corner this week. Here’s a bit of info on first one from online: DynaShield technology uses a blend of natural essential oils that deters mosquitoes while you enjoy a natural and pleasant summer aroma. Portable & Battery-Powered – No outlets, no problem! The DynaShield can easily move wherever you go so you don’t have to leave protection behind. Includes 3 refill pads that last up to 6 hours each use – that’s up to 18 hours of protection in total. Plus, your device can operate up to 45 hours continuously on 2 x AA Batteries. Chad paid about $30 at Home Depot, but it seems to less expensive on Amazon at the time this was posted.

Chad’s 2nd item are the PIC Mosquito Repelling Coils. Info from the web: Helps to repel mosquitoes in confined areas outdoors. Use in places where there is little or no breeze such as patios and porches. Do not use indoors. Each coil repels mosquitoes for 5-7 hours

Use outdoors on Patios and Porches; Place one coil every 10 feet for complete protection

And From Chad: As you’ll see on this week’s show, Chad demos how each one works. They’re very different in their approach to getting rid of mosquitoes at very different price points. But this will be a good idea of which might be best for you before the mosquitoes still ‘bugging’ you.

Chad paid about $4 for 4 coils at his local Home Depot store, so about $1 each coil. Amazon was less expensive at $9 for 12 coils at the time we recorded the show.
