Here Are The Gadgets At CES 2026 Sophie Flay and I Talked About On World News Now.
Humanoid Robots were everywhere at CES 2026. One reporter said there were probably more than 50 of them. However, I don’t believe any of them are quite ready to enter the marketplace yet. At various booth you can see a humanoid robot who seemed to be doing their exercises. Some seemed to just act stilly, maybe to make them look more friendly. Some could play cards — very slowly — some could help you do chores like moving boxes, again very slowly. That seems to be a major drawback right now. They can do a few household chores, but at an really slow pace. A few also looked really weird having a screen as their face. Fortunately, none of them came close to being able to report stories on TV! So TV reporter careers are safe! At least for now.
Want to see more Robots. I found this video on YouTube. Jarett Gross make a video that’s more than an hour long, called: Every Humanoid Robot at CES 2026! Wow, what an undertaking! I’ve not watched it yet, but it’s here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bKaiNxt1KM
It Looks Like A Flashlight, But It’s So Much More!
Meet Timeli Personal Safety System!
Yes, Timeli looks like an ordinary flashlight, but it’s a smart personal safety system with an on-board video recorder, GPS, audible alarm, and the ability to contact an emergency dispatcher thru a cell connection. It also has a mic and speaker for two-way conversation. The company says you can even ask to have someone ‘virturally walk with you’ if you’re in a unfamiliar area and worried. In an emergency, just push the S.O.S. button and it can send live video to responders and/or family and friends on your list. More info from their website: Emergency response made simple. One press connects you to live dispatch and instantly alerts your trusted contacts through the app. Real-time GPS updates – The app keeps your circle informed with smart notifications and live location sharing. Secure cloud video – Every recording is backed up safely in the app—accessible when needed, protected when not. MSRP is $299.95, which includes a 12-month subscription for the onboard direct connect security monitoring and dispatch service.

Take Notes Anywhere – Via The Ring On Your Finger!
Yes, it’s possible, or soon will be via the Vocci Smar Ring.
Picture this. You’re walking along and you suddenly have a great idea, or you need to remember pick up or buy something. You don’t have a way to write a quick note. No worries, because you’re wearing your Vocci ring! It’s billed as the world’s first note taking ring. It can record a single note or entire conversations. You don’t need to have your phone handy, but once it’s in range, the Vocci app turns your voice into searchable AI text, and even categories. The spokesperson at CES 2026 said the ring can hold up to 8 hours of note taking. And it can pick up voices up to 15 feet. While it’s recording, tap the start button one more time and it will mark when you just said as important. I guess that means AI will put that into an “Important Folder” in the app. Vocci will available in many sizes and styles later this year. The device in the photo, top right, is the ring charger. Coming later in the year, no official price, but a possible $200 mark.

A Fire Captain Creates A Smoke Alarm For Pet Safety.
Created by a veteran fire captain, the Rescue+Retriever Pet Smoke Alarm is designed to help firefighters find pets in a fire. Unlike other fire detectors, it doesn’t make a sound, which would scare pets. It’s silent and should be installed down low in an area where your pet stays, or even hides. Rescue Retriever activates a high-intensity, silent strobe light that cuts through heavy smoke, signaling firefighters to where pets may be. Each unit ships with a highly-reflective decal that can be placed at the entrance informing firefighters as to how many pets are inside and what they are. MSRP: $39.99.
