Wow, What A Cute Karaoke Kit For The Kids
Amazon says: Ideal Gift for Ages 3-13:Designed with adjustable volume, soft-grip microphones, and kid-safe materials, this karaoke machine grows with your child—perfect for toddlers to teens! To me, it’s great value. It has LED lights, two mics that automatically connect wirelessly to the mini speaker. Great for parties, or as Chad said, even a mini PA system to get the kids, or family members, attention. It has a built memory card slot, USB-C charging and although nothing about pairing it with your phone is mentioned in the instructions, a few reviews said they played music from their phone through the device. Their are voice changing and echo effects and disco lights that sync to the beat! That all adds to the fun. Under $16.00! I saw a unit with just one mic for under $10 on Amazon. Just go the link below to see the unit I bought, and scroll down to see a lot more options!

Meet The Glopus Travel Bluetooth Speaker
I wanted something I could use on my desk to amplify calls I receive on my cellphone. I saw the Glopus Bluetooth Speaker + Phone Stand on Amazon and immediately bought one. Testing it I found it does make incoming calls much louder and clearer. But I got mixed results on how I sounded to the callers. I asked each one how I sounded to them and most said ‘good or excellent’, and a few said ‘a bit tinny’. It did very well on Amazon with 960 reviews giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars. It folds up nicely, so I think it would be good for travel, to watch movies in a hotel, or even out camping. The company says it fits most 4-13 inch smartphones, tablets, and e-readers with Bluetooth functionality. Also good is that you can use the USB port for emergency charging. The device itself charges via USB-C, and a charging cable is included. Under $24.00 on 5/30/25.

Can This Small Door Stop Stand Up To A Big Door?
We Find Out!
As you’ll learn on this week’s show, the building I live in has two heavy doors. Often, they need to be keep open for deliveries. We have a huge heat up old wood wedge out there now, so I was interested when I saw this neat looking “Premium aluminum alloy door stopper, designed for durability and longevity” on Amazon. It also read: “The robust construction ensures it can handle the weight of heavy doors, making it a reliable choice for both residential and commercial use.” And at only $9.99, I had to buy one. Did it work? You’ll see the whole demo on this week’s show. And probably get a chuckle out of how the door stopper is packed.

Chad’s Crappy Corner
It’s May and the winning theme, voted on by our loyal Patreons is Gadgets for Your Gadgets. That would be things you might use to help you with gadgets you already own.
Chad’s final Cheap Gadget for your gadgets is the PowerA Hip Clip for Meta Quest 3 / 3S controllers.
Wow, I know nothing about VR, which means I know nothing about VR controllers. But Chad likes this one that holds the Meta Quest 3 / 3S controllers ready at your hips for convenient transition between activities or when not in use. What this week’s show because I believe Chad had the previous model VR, but feels sort of works for that too. It’s a way to keep the controllers secure while standing, seated, or walking – but not for jumping, as you’ll see on this week’s show. It comes with a belt ithat’s adjustable up to 45 inches, allowing you to find the optimal fit. It was under $20. Chad got his at Best Buy, but showed it on Amazon too. Be sure to buy the one for the model you need for optimum fit.

Dick’s Gadget Warehouse
Our email this week is from Dewey in Port Angeles.
He writes: I remembered wanting to write to you regarding a comment Chad made on the previous show about wanting to see an old iPod Nano. I actually submitted a video of mine on a show in 2019. I couldn’t figure out which episode it was shown on but I made the video on November 4th, 2019 so it would have been on a show sometime soon after that. Here’s a link to the video on Youtube if Chad would like to view it.

Love the show. I’ve heard or seen every one you’ve produced and look forward to it every week.

From the Giz Wiz: I watch this video again and I didn’t remember the gadget that let you make a Nano into a watch!!! I’m also amazed I didn’t buy that watch band immediately on seeing this video. So I just knew we had to show the video again since we were talking so much about the Nano music player from Apple. I still have mine, but it won’t charge!

Subject: Funny gadget
Just came across this and thought it would be funny for the show, in case you need to hold your bottle of wine when you’re in the shower.

From The Giz Wiz: I see there are two versions on Amazon. Seems the smaller one just holds a can of soda, or whatever. The larger is shown with a drink can, leaving a bit of room for some ice!
